You could play several hours straight and not get anywhere. Then pickup the game the following week and nail a challenge in a few minutes. Gold Rush IV - I'm pointing directly at you here.
Literally round after round after round where the ONLY move I can make is by matching three irrelevant gems at the top of the board. Many rounds have run out of time where I've maybe removed one square of dirt at the bottom.
It's difficult to be 'fun' when the thing is just so bloody frustrating and beyond your control!
