i remember this game used to have more memorable music like lollipop and my boyfriends back, is it not in this version anymore?

It seems that the license to these songs have expired. On the Dance-Off, they are still present. However, on the Main Menu they are gone. Shame.

If the licenses expired they wouldn't be in the game at all. They just sadly decided to change them to not be the menu music anymore.

There must be something more to it than that. Why would they decide to remove those songs from the menu unless one or more of them were no longer under license?
Perhaps some of the artists are now under labels which require royalty fees for the use of their work - in which case, they decided to remove all of them from the menu music.

The entire OST is in the game and are being sold on Steam, its not a license issue.

I think that maybe they modified the menu music some point the past when they thought they might not get the licensed music anymore. But that clearly changed and now they forgot (or didint want) to change the menu music back.

i made a support ticket about this issue yesterday, however the only response i got back was that i didnt give enough information regarding my issue, (which i did, i explicitly stated that there was no music in game whatsoever, just the sound effects.) i know i last played this game when i was like 10 years old, but i dont remember it being almost totally quiet the entire time.

The game didn't feature any in-game music. The music was only in the main menu and on some spare occasions (like the jukebox in a chapter).
Unfortunately the devs removed the random music from the main menu and the jukebox, so basically the music IS removed from the game :(

I didn't mind it missing from the main menu but it being gone from the Jukebox hurt a little, I remember eating brains to that song in the dinner. I hope they can patch it or maybe someone can mod it in? I'm not sure how difficult that would be to mod.

Had a shower thought. Twitch is retardedly strict on music now. Anyone streaming the game could get dmca. The tracks that stay in the game are sped up and a beat is added to them for the sake of the dance off mini-game so bots can't detect them. The main menu and jukebox stuff can be detected so if Aspyr wants free streamer promotion, they've got to go. Aspyr clearly still owns the rights because I bought the soundtrack with the game. I realized the game itself only has music while driving or possessing someone. So I use the steam player to add the soundtrack to the whole game by playing it in the background.

I streamed it and got the sound blocked for the start of the dance off, so nah. I think they just made a mistake somewhere in coding. Perhaps an earlier version of the game as said? idk

The dance is all there its just missing from the jukebox and main menu. Not too big a deal
