Green filter?
This game has this sickly green fallout 3-like filter and I'm wondering if it's intentional or not. The Cutscenes don't have it, so what's up? Can I remove it?

It's also odd because the tutorial doesn't have the filter either

Not without the dev's assistance, i'm afraid. The reshade just turns up the contrast and compounds the problem. Annoyed the ♥♥♥♥ out of me, frankly.

It adds a lot. Its called atmosphere. GTA SA and GTA IV had particular colour palettes that changed the game's atmosphere and feeling a lot. Stubbs is the same. And no, its not removable, and yes, its intentional. Turn off film grain, itll look crisper but the colours will remain.

You could probably find and disable the offending shader(s) by utilising Special K[discourse.differentk.fyi], though this may require some technical knowledge.

the green filter is apart how the game is supposed to feel. kinda grim with a touch of humor

The Steam store screenshots look clear and crisp, wonder why it's different in the actual game.

I remember asking a similar question 15 years ago but was about official gameplay videos on the web. I thought it was strange those videos existed without the blur, but the actual game had it.

Can anybody tell me how to turn down the amount of green? I mean the game is supposed to have loads of colors right? All I see is green. The tutorial didn't have this problem (except when stubbs farted of course) and on the original I think it was fixed by just upping your refresh rate.. But I don't see anywhere to do that now.

Its completely intentional. And not removable, I remember the filter very vividly from the PC demo 13 years ago. Then replaying the full game on the original Xbox, it had the same filter. Its to add atmosphere and a zombie apocalypse vibe. A little bit like Fallout 3 had, or GTA IV. Its not a bug or anything. And I have never found or heard of a way to remove it.

Didn't it always have a bit of a filter or am I just misremembering?

It's a such a shame because the clear graphics in pre-release gameplay videos looked great. Maybe a modder could do something.

I remember a mod to remove the awful washedout/bloom effects from Dirt 1 all those years ago.

I don't remember the exact filter but it did, because I complained about it over a decade ago after playing the demo.

I don't remember the exact filter but it did, because I complained about it over a decade ago after playing the demo. It had a washed out, blurry look.

I only remember the screen changing with the hand or other power effects. not something consistent.
