Strongest characters?

I know Lu Bu is supposedly a god but what about other characters?

Zhang Liao, Zhao Yun, Zheng Jiang (probably the strongest once she gets her poison), Guan Yu, Xu Chu all to just name a few.

Zhao Yun (sentinel under gosun zan historically fights under liu bei); and Guan Yu (champion under liu bei). Gong Du (yellow turban general) is also very good.

zhang fei is also a beast again under liu bei (probably best vanguard after lu bu)... and somehow liu bei has not lost a single duel as well. cao cao is not bad neither and xhou chou (a general of cao cao [probably killed his name, dian lian as well) is pretty good too.. Guan yu lost a duel on zheng liang in one of my games.. but did not have god of war yet. Zhang liang is pretty good too. Yuan shu seems to hold his own in a fight which is suprizing. Sun ce and sun jian(his father) are also good ... his little sister is supposed to kick butt as well (maybe you can merry her to guan yu or lu bu and get one of those as well.. Sima yi and zhuge liang are both great. Sima yi reduces corruption faction wide as prime minister.. zhuge liang gives 10% movement rate in all armies as prime minister.

My most devastating has been (amazingly) He Man, He Yi's second legendary character. His volley attack normally racks of hundreds per use.

This ability is sooo broken. Especially when up close its like a massive shotgun that mows down half a unit instantly. Heroes up close get hit by multiple projectiles of one shot which does massive damage as well.

If you play on record version, its doesn't matter without those mediocre generals as long as you playing it right and regain the whole china..

He Man is apparently ridiculously strong.

The 3 absolute strongest IMO aside from Lu Bu would be Sun Ren, He Man, and Zheng Jiang. All other characters are very strong, but Sun Ren can one shot any general and gets 3 uses, plus she's red so she gets shock cav bonuses and she herself hits like a truck.

Zheng Jiang can do the same thing with her poison, though not as good as Sun Ren's IMO, and she isn't as strong as Sun Ren with killing mobs, BUT she has fatigue IMMUNITY. She literally doesn't ever get tired and is full speed and killing power the whole battle.

He Man, well, how can you not be OP with a name like that? But yeah, as other people said, he smokes people with his arrows.

Huang shao will beat any other general in a fight but not the best commander / leader compared to others.

Aside from what others have mentioned, there are few other powerhouses worth noting.

Pei Yuanshao is the best duelist in a vacuum, his stats plus abilities allow him to pull ahead against other really good duelist like Zhao Yun.

Xu Chu is very good thanks to his passive that gives the entire army 50% dmg reduction and his buff ability which skyrockets his damage.

Sima Yi is probably the biggest game changer since he shuts down all enemy general active abilities (same passive debuff other strategists get, only Sima Yi's is mapwide).

Gan Ning and Taishi Ci get the same ability. Bringing all three into Custom Battles is hilarious.
