Any news on a part 2?
I'd like to try this game since I'm interested but I'd like the full story as oppose to a cliff hanger.

It's dead. Didn't sell well and has very little engagement. It's a shame. Real shame. I and many others find this game somewhat of a joy to play as its the ONLY lovecraftian cRPG.

Abandonware. Bugged, unfinished and with zero chances for a sequel. No point in buying it at all, plenty of other Lovecraftian games out there. Any "joy" (I would rather say limited satisfaction) you might scrounge from its lore or atmosphere, will be dashed by the glaring gaps in narrative/questlines and just overall halfassedry of this game.

Yes it's buggy, yes it's not finished but no video game I've played has been as close to lovecraft's works

on the game's kickstarter page in february the developers proposed different choices for the future.

wait and see..

quote kickstarter page

If we ever make another Kickstarter project, which of the scenarios below would excite you most?

A) A Legacy style Lovecraftian Board Game that continues the themes of Stygian while presenting an interesting mix of tabletop role-playing and board gaming.

B) A CRPG like "Stygian: Reign of the Old Ones" but in another unexpected and fresh setting with unique mechanics.

C) A CRPG to be the spiritual successor of Stygian which continues and expands the themes of Stygian. (The decision for Stygian 2 is not entirely up to us)

What do you mean "stole"? Under cover of night?

Sure, there are plenty of games out there with the tag 'Lovecraftian' but this game is one of the few that actually feels like it could take place within the same world as Lovecrafts stories.

It's worth playing but probably will remain unfinished. It does sort of resolve itself, but at least one available quest will be forever locked behind the non existent remainder of the game.
