Stuck getting cultist robes

Hi there gentle readers. I was wondering if any of you would be so kind as to hint me in getting the cultist robes in order to enter the theater. Theres a Rambo hitting a poor soul (maybe he did sth wrong or maybe its all part of some sexual cult-sadomasochism-lovish) who does not want to share his clothes with me (lying on the floor as a snake moult at his feet). I am already wearing a pointed hood (crafted), and a cultist suit (evidently, not the one is expected for the red carpet show going on at the theater). Thank oh so much.

If you have the robes, you also need to get your chest branded before the cultist at the theater will let you in. Once you talk to him about it, you can go and talk to Krogh/the scarred cultist in the building behind Richter's back in town to get it done.

Mhh... Cultist at the front of the theater wont let me in; no special dialog appearing. Went back with my pointy hood to see Krogh and, again, no mention of clothes whatsoever... What am I doing wrong? I been trying to accomplish this since yesterday with no avail...

Do you have the hood and the robes, or just the hood? You can craft a set of robes, too, you just need a set of ragged robes. Or you can find an intact in the vanity in the middle of the room in the hotel with the magic circle on the floor, if you have the Senses/Investigation for it.

I crafted the pointed hood and wearing the cultist robes (which are not at all the same as intended; violet, instead of crimson-- they do not look alike the real cultists are wearing).

Oh, really? Sorry, my bad. I didn't think they'd have more than one type of item.

Have you got ragged robes? If you walk around the world map you can sometimes get a group of cultists who attack you and loot the rags from them. I think there are some you can find in a container somewhere as well. Sorry I can't be more specific, I ended up with like three ragged robes at one point, but I guess I was just lucky.

To get the dialogue you need, you have to say "I need to get in" which prompted the initial robes quest trigger and then will prompt you needing the mark of cleansing. If you have both the robe and hood equipped that should work.

Yes i have ragged ropes and with them i crafted cultist dress (which i had already) and pointed hood. Yet when i say "i want to get it" the front door man just sends me away. I cant get the quest "mark of cleansing" as you gently pointed out. :S

Have you been to the first screen of the Blasted Street to the SE? Not sure that had anything to do with this, but it does open up a few other quest nodes. Do you already have the Theater of Bones quest?

Dear friends, loved developer; I have just finished working and will with no doubt post a screen of my journal as soon as I am able.
Yes, I been to the blasted street and escaped before dying (got the proper quest, "find a way through..."/FIND NECCESARY PROTECTION).
Active for sure: FIND NECRONOMICON > FIND A WAY INSIDE MISK. U.
TEARS OF MEMORY (find the spell component inside Theater)
LOST PATENT (find hines in theather...)
THE THEATER OF BONES (acquire a cultist robe and hood)

Ok, I am playing right now and I think I found out the issue. There seems to be TWO pair of cultist robes in my inventory. The one I first had, I looted it early in the game (and is not the one I needed for the quest). The one I've recently crafted added as a second pair of the same, yet a different set. I am uploading a screenshot.
When I equipped it the first time (given there were two), my character, for some reason, dressed up like the one that served no purpose for the quest. Now, and I can only wander why, the character got the proper custom (remember my inventory shows two pairs, as the screencap proves).
So now I got the subquest that lets me interview Krogh about the chest thing (didnt do this yet but I paused the game in order to tell about this confussion).
