And here comes the clumsy guy that ruins everything, that is me, with his negative reviews.
In my opinion, this game is completely a mess. It seems from the beginning to the end that nothing has been reviewed once - like when I used to write papers during literature exams in my first university year (long ago yeah) and I took as good to go the drafts without reviewing them.
Although the music is completely repetitive and annoying, forest/jungle like in the Tarzan Game Boy games (turn it off as soon as possible), the graphics still are cute and enjoyable but definitely cliché: there are tons of free Flash games with almost identical character artwork and such.
The game itself has no replayability value, and can be completed in half an hour since it has no difficulty options and poses no challenge at all.
Here we actually come at one of the biggest problems this game offers: no options. Not a single one of them. Nothing, seriously.
In the main menu you have only some big buttons: turn off all sounds, effects and music (that means a mute button), "continue" (even if it's the first time you start the game, instead of "play" you'll have only "continue"), a completely useless "reset score" button, then "fullscreen" (no other graphics options at all) which allows you to play windowed or not (it's best played full screen in my view), "exit" and finally "levels".
So, as you can see, no settings or customization at all. No tutorials. You're put right into the game without even knowing the buttons, or how to change them (it's impossible by the way), so you are forced to stick with the controls set by the developer, which are hard to master for a 2D platformer: while you move with the usual A and D keys (or the directional keys), you're bound to jump with space AND to swing your sword with the left mouse button. That's completely frustrating: the W and S keys, or all the other keys you can find on your keyboard, won't have any effect. In my view, if the game wasn't so simple, this would prevent many players to get to the end.
Plus, there are no difficulty settings at all and there are only 12 levels overall, which is really too little considered that this isn't a free game, and 2D platformers with dozens of levels can be found everywhere for free, especially with this cartoon-like style.
For each level you'll have on the upper left side of the screen a heart divided into four pieces, which will be detracted if you get hit by an enemy or if you hit spikes and other harmful objects. I found it really bugged when it comes to your sword, since most of the times you can't even understand if you're hitting enemies or not, so that the game gets way easier if you just collect the three keys on the platforms and get to the end.
This is the only required thing - get the keys, go to the door. The enemies instand die when you get the third key, which is a little bit strange. And as we were saying, the game has no story or anything else. Why are you collecting keys, why are you fighting rogues and skeletons, where are you going? Ok, it's casual, but it seems that there's a dozen of levels (from the 9th to the end you'll get at least some difficulty increment but 12 short levels really are too few..) put there without many polishing - the second level could have been the sixth or such, it's really casual.
Due to the controls and to the shortness of the game, not to mention it's super easy, I can't really recommend to buy this title. There are lots of 2D casual indie platformers on other websites, in Flash, which can be played for free and for hours while this game will require you just less than an hour to complete everything.
Having no difficulty or customization options, you can finish the level in whichever way you want - you won't get stars, bonuses or anything else. In fact, the useless "reset score" button simply resets your level progress and will make you restart from level 1, but the game has no scores at all, no point system or other items to collect except the keys, so you can just jump around (and the jump command, which is the most important in the game, needs a lot of work in my opinion since it's not that responsive and it should have been put on the up arrow/W key and not only the spacebar), avoid the enemies (with 4 hearts you'll get to the end without problems) and open the door.
The fact that the enemies will instantly die on collecting the last key is totally nonsense to me, since then you just have to dodge spikes and other objects and get to the end. But the weapon issue is definitely bigger, since you really seem not to be able to kill the enemies most of the times and if this wasn't enough, the hitboxes are also completely random so you'll likely get damage for vertical spikes while you're distant from them and on a horizontal platform and so on.
It's a mess, in my view. Being a indie casual platformer doesn't justify a game to be so poorly polished and reviewed, so as it is now in my opinion doesn't deserve to be bought and played even if only at 1€. It could have been a nice effort with much more work, more levels and way more time spent into working around hitboxes, controls, enemies and so on, but like this well, no, not the casual platformer I'd recommend.
Oh, no Steam overlay so I couldn't take screenshots in-game as I always do, but you can check them out on the game hub page, there are only 12 levels and they look pretty much all the same :)

This game is very simple and I played through the 12 levels completely in about 20 minutes. The game is very cheap ( I paid €0.59 on sale, normally €0.99) so I cannot complain too much about that.

It is a bit of fun but it feels like it could have been fleshed out a bit more. Your character looks to the right when you are in the left half of the screen and looks to the left when you are in the right half of the screen. There is no obvious reason why it should do that. Why does it not simply turn when you change direction? Was this lazy programming?

Also the jumping action ( which is most of the action in the game ) feels stiff and clunky. It looks like a dead weight going up and down rather than a living character.

There is also no back story and no reason why you should get the keys or why the characters try to stop you.

Like a said, I cannot be too harsh because of the price. It is a good 20 minutes of fun even though it feels like the game was made on a rainy afternoon.

Finished the game in 18 minutes. Last 3 levels (of 12) may be a bit harder than others. Got 44 achievements and 100% game.

Even though this game was only like 0.50 cents -$1. I felt like it had an interesting level variety and semi-challenging obstacles around the environments! There was a decent amount of achievements for only little money which was a plus! Also, the music was not bad but I wish there was some change in it when you went into each level! Finally for a decent Indie/casual game it wasnt that bad! It had an overall fun style to it! As I played this I noticed that sometimes when you swing your sword while attacking you dont lose health then sometimes you do? I also wish there was a pop up notice or something in the beginning explaining the controls/hints. For example, I attacked 1 guy then collected all keys, then they all died? If i knew that sooner I wouldnt be fighting all of them. The environment with the axes, mushrooms and even spikes I feel like do alot of damage which I guess provides the challenge! As a final result, this wasnt that horrible there were a couple iffy things but overall the achieves/challenge was fun! I would recommend this since its cheap and fun!

This might just be me, but thist seems like a reskin of Evil Come. I think it's the same Developer and Publisher too. One was later 2017, this one is late 2018? Still good games. About what I would expect for a whimpy 99 cents. A simple 20 min platformer.
