Cannot use my mic in game

I use my laptop to play the game, and i am using the mic in my laptop.
i can use it to play few months ago, but after updating the game i cannot use my mic in the game.
Is the game cannot detect laptop built-in mic or is it it the problem with the my setting in game

try updating your audio driver and close your antivirus software

I have similar problem. I was able to use my mic before and I could see it in game audio menu, but it is not any longer there and none of the options work. It stopped working a week ago.
(I am in contact with Project Winter support and I have ticket for it)

I have received a message from devs regarding my problem with mic (it was working a few weeks ago but does not work now):

Our engineers were able to use that to track down the bug you're experiencing :). We're hoping to have that out as soon as humanly possible, so stay tuned for updates!

Submitted bug as well. Started playing yesterday and never had microphone working, even though it works in other games and apps. Also tested on two devices to no avail.

As a piece of feedback as well, I have no clue how I'm supposed to test the mic in the settings menu. When I click on it there's no feed back that I'm testing. This led me to believe that maybe you hold the test mic button to test, but still nothing. No clue how I'm actually supposed to use it.

I believe they have broken the game a week ago (or a few weeks). In the current broken state, I can not test the mic either. The "test" button does nothing.

Ah gotcha thanks for the feedback. It's working now by the way even though I didn't change anything. I just had a friend say he'd help me debug and it was just working that time... so yea seems to be pretty random.
