The game seems to be trying to generate an abnormally high number of... something. It looks like trees, but that's not necessarily true. Do you have forest density or world size set particularly high?

If not, I'd suggest verifying the game files. That can solve a lot of unusual errors. In Steam, Right Click > Properties > "Local Files" tab > "Verify Integrity of Game Files"

Hmm. Another thing to try would be deleting "Profile.txt" from the game folder. (Usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Species ALRE\)

If a particularly extreme value has made it's way into your settings, I could see that causing an error like this. If that's the case, deleting Profile.txt would fix it.
