Requiem Aeternam Achievement
Hi everyone

I just beat the game on PS4 and defeated all 10 bosses without using any flask but didn't get the achievement. Though, I used both NPC and Guilt after dying to recover some HP. Does that void the trophy ?

Also, I didn't manage to kill Pepretua. Does she count toward it ?

Is it bugged ? Is there a hidden boss ?

Thank you for your help

Would like to know this as well, I accidentally accepted the NPC's help for the first boss.

Perpetua is considered a boss as you end up getting an achieve for beating her.

@Soulmyr

Achievement basically says you have to do this without healing in general, which is what the summons do.

Unfortunately, that's not what the achievement says. The description mentions "no flask consumption" and healing with a NPC is no consuming flask.

I am still intrigued for Perpetua. Like you said, there is an achievement dedicated to her but she is the only one without any life bar on the low-middle of the screen.

After talking to some people, I think both Perpetua and the two Ogres are counting toward the achievement, even though their life bars aren't displayed.

Still not sure about the healing coming from other things than the flasks though. And there is a prayer that rewards you with health when you hit enemies. Could it void the achievement ?

I am still searching for answers.

Seems using any sort of healing is what they're getting at, but the devs are supremely poor at telling us that, yes.

Indeed, if they wanted us to not heal at all, they should have mentionned it instead of talking only about flasks. The more I play the game the more meh it becomes.

don't forget you can also regain health by touching your guilt markers left behind after previous deaths in a boss battle. I've been playing a new run today using these markers tactically to regain health during critical moments but I haven't used any flasks or health regain sword heart. really hope it doesn't void the achievement.

I got the achievement, I did beat perpetua and I did make use of markers during boss fights. Also used flasks outside of boss battles. Did not use the NPC help. There's not really any excuse to use healing, considering people have been beating the bosses while taking zero damage. xD

I have a good question. Is it just no healing during boss encounters or can I not heal through out the game?

I got the achievement, with the NPC assist for Ten Piedad (didn't need it, just clicked too fast skipping the dialogue). Also killed Perpetua and the two mini-Wardens

I got it as well last night. I avoided Viridiana's help just to be cautious, except at the end when I got that spell off her rather than her helping in the actual fight. I also beat Perpetua and the two wardens before the jail cells without flasks, probably counts.

you can heal outside of boss encounters.

I can confirm that getting help from Viridiana does not void the achievement. I also healed with flasks on Perpetua and still got the achievement. You can also heal by picking up your guilt marker.

For those of you who are not getting the achievement it might be because you entered the boss fight with some used healing flasks which may cause the game to think you healed with flasks during the boss fight (I have no idea if this is the case, but it might be a bug).

I died on Perpetua, used guilt markers and all the help and got it. I also used flasks before boss fights often, but I can't tell if I actually beat any bosses with these attempts.
