DualShock 4 button support?
I have [x] Playstation Configuration Support enabled in Steam, but the button icons used are for an Xbox controller.

Anything extra I need to do to get this working? Or perhaps it's not implemented yet?

If it doesnt automatically detect then try disabling controller support for the game. That should be under the options by right clicking on Blasphemous in your library.

That did the trick, thanks!

I'm guessing Steam's controller support just remaps other controllers and makes the system think they're all Xbox controllers?

So when I rightclick on blasphemous I don't see a disable controller support option not under properties or anywhere else. Where did you see it? Or does the controller need to be connected first for that option to show.

Try going into Steam>Settings>Controllers>General Controller Settings and uncheck the Playstation controller support, for some reason this fixes it.

Hello, I'm planning to buy the game and I have PS4 controller.

Do you mean that in order to make PS4 pad works, I need to uncheck ps4 support? OMG?

No. The pad works either way but in order for the game to recognize it's a DS4 and display Playstation buttons you need to disable PS support through Steam. That's because the game supports the pad natively in Windows whereas when using PS support through Steam it's basically emulating a Steam Controller (which uses XBox button layout); which is why you get XBox prompts. Some games support detecting button prompts within Steam but that's rare.

Good news is you can just disable it for specific games while leaving your global controller settings intact. Open Steam, go to your Library, right click on the game, properties. Steam input per game setting lets you force PS support off for just that game.

Edit: This works in Windows 10. Dunno about previous versions.

Thanks a lot, Ringo. I can now purchase the game and will apply those settings.

I am using a ps3 pad with scptoolkit. So that workaround does not work for me. Maybe there is a flag that can be set when starting the games executable, so the game shows always ps4 prompts? That way it would work for everyone.

So cool, thanks! This worked for me :) I'm playing the game through Steam on Ubuntu Linux and it works perfectly with GloriousEggroll build 5.11 -- I unchecked Playstation Controller support and also set the game to "Forced Off" for "Steam Input Per-Game Setting" in the Manage Game section (Big Picture Mode). This made the game show the beautiful playstation icons.
