Multi-monitor display issue / Add monitor selection?
Loving the fact I can finally play this updated demo, and the nonsense that the second level provides. Except... there are clear issues for multi displays right now.

My setup right now is my main monitor 1 is what all games default to, and monitor 2 is extended/continuous to the LEFT for other side windows, such as stream-related programs.
The second level appears to recognize the extended display, and sit itself to what it thinks is centered between display 1 and 2. Except with 1 being the main, it expects 2 to the right, and it sets to the RIGHT half of 1. So I see only half a window, ever.

This is not ideal or correct, despite the gimmick at play.
Win+Shift+Left/RightArrow DOES shift the game between displays (then splitting it properly between, which is still unwanted, I wish for single monitor play only), but as soon as the window decides to move, it reverts entirely to the original setup, going halfway off 1 and NEVER allowing me to see the right half of the window.

Despite this being a demo, this game NEEDS an option to select a display. And to correctly stick with said option. I want to show off this game and my long awaited hype, but when I cannot even see correctly myself?
I have ideas for workarounds, but it basically ends up being temporarily disabling my multiple monitors, which is also not ideal. Please consider a display-selection setting of some sort. Great work otherwise, thank you for this demo~

I'm positive that the issue will be resolved during development.

Reported the issue here. I'm also on dual monitor setup (secondary screen above primary screen), identical issues.

Yea I saw your comment there before, and one other discussion loosely mentioning a dual screen and wishing it would use all 3 of theirs. Glad it is a common issue.

I am sure it will be fixed eventually, but the fact that this is seemingly a timed demo with this Steam Festival worries me that I will not be able to enjoy it to its fullest (by helping show it off to others as well). I will resort to a temp single monitor if need be, but I think the demo already had an update, so maybe they are fixing issues even now. Here's hoping~

Hey Wulven (and hey again icezolation, thank you for explaining your setup!)

Sorry for the delayed reply, we got a bit burnt out on the lead-up to releasing this.

Thanks for the very detailed analysis, that really helps figure out what's going wrong.

Most likely for this demo we'll try just making it use only the monitor you start the game in, rather than stretching across both. We'll see what we can do as soon as possible, and I'll update you in the thread here. Pinning this for now for visibility.

What's actually supposed to happen? Mine turned into a small window and started circling around near the the edges of where my 2 monitors meet.

Update: we figured out the problem that occurs when using Wulven's setup: the windows API call always assumes x=0 is the leftmost of the primary monitor, which is not necessarily the leftmost position of the play area.

We should be able to fix it by tomorrow, but in the meantime if you want you can set the left monitor to primary and then restart the game.

@ Halcyon that's basically what is supposed to happen, yes. We're planning to add monitor selection settings though so you can choose to have it all on one monitor.

Thanks for the update! I ended up just disabling my second monitor for the duration (for simple desktop screen capture... I hope attempting to stream the demo is fine?)
I knew there were many quick workaround options, like your suggestion.

I figured it was something silly with Windows (as is often the case with anything), glad to know it wasn't necessarily your fault. I still love the fact the game even uses multiple monitors if it can, and I hope this incoming fix doesn't disable the feature (though it could be an option?), seems folks love it, when their setup works as intended, haha.

But thank you and your team SO MUCH for reaching out and attempting a fix! Incredible work!

Streaming the demo is definitely fine, we love to see it! Yeah your monitor choice option suggestion was a good one and we will try to implement it. And no problem, thank you for playing spreading the word of our game Wulven!

I just had this issue and came here to search for a solution, hope it gets fixed in the future

Yep, just got finished playing and showing the early access release, as I did before with the steam festival demo, and... It was not fixed. Luckily I kinda prepared my stream setup "just in case" but I still mostly forgot what I did before. Ended up just unplugging a monitor for the duration of my stream. Which wasn't the greatest solution...

I just figured, with the attention this and other clips/streams/etc got, and even showcasing the goof long ago, that it would have been addressed by now. Seems that was not the case. Here is hoping a hotfix happens sometime soon, and not once out of early access, if not ever.

Same issue here. I love the gimmick, and I hope the devs find a way to make it work the way it should.

I have kinda same problem that the window persists to stay/move around secondary monitor while the window-moving gimmick.
My setting is that a secondary monitor is placed at the right of primary monitor.
I play this game on the primary monitor. While the gimmick, the game window moves to the secondary monitor and dance around it.
I tried to get the window back to my primary monitor while the gimmick, but couldn't do it.

hoping the window will detects the primary monitor and the gimmick will work perfectly.

Single monitor selection is now live! Go to Accessibility and you can choose to just use one monitor.

What's "Windows movement" actually? Is the game supposed to move in game?
I'm here because the game started to behave weirdly when playing the boss of world 2. While playing, the game changed screen, went windowed instead of fullscreen. In my current setting (laptop with HD screen, and external SD monitor that I use to play), it was really weird and unplayable. I ended up unplugging my external monitor and playing on the laptop.
I'll try setting this "windows movement" option to "off" and see if it's better.
Thanks
