Reported the issue here. I'm also on dual monitor setup (secondary screen above primary screen), identical issues.
I am sure it will be fixed eventually, but the fact that this is seemingly a timed demo with this Steam Festival worries me that I will not be able to enjoy it to its fullest (by helping show it off to others as well). I will resort to a temp single monitor if need be, but I think the demo already had an update, so maybe they are fixing issues even now. Here's hoping~
Sorry for the delayed reply, we got a bit burnt out on the lead-up to releasing this.
Thanks for the very detailed analysis, that really helps figure out what's going wrong.
Most likely for this demo we'll try just making it use only the monitor you start the game in, rather than stretching across both. We'll see what we can do as soon as possible, and I'll update you in the thread here. Pinning this for now for visibility.
We should be able to fix it by tomorrow, but in the meantime if you want you can set the left monitor to primary and then restart the game.
@ Halcyon that's basically what is supposed to happen, yes. We're planning to add monitor selection settings though so you can choose to have it all on one monitor.
I knew there were many quick workaround options, like your suggestion.
I figured it was something silly with Windows (as is often the case with anything), glad to know it wasn't necessarily your fault. I still love the fact the game even uses multiple monitors if it can, and I hope this incoming fix doesn't disable the feature (though it could be an option?), seems folks love it, when their setup works as intended, haha.
But thank you and your team SO MUCH for reaching out and attempting a fix! Incredible work!
I just figured, with the attention this and other clips/streams/etc got, and even showcasing the goof long ago, that it would have been addressed by now. Seems that was not the case. Here is hoping a hotfix happens sometime soon, and not once out of early access, if not ever.
My setting is that a secondary monitor is placed at the right of primary monitor.
I play this game on the primary monitor. While the gimmick, the game window moves to the secondary monitor and dance around it.
I tried to get the window back to my primary monitor while the gimmick, but couldn't do it.
hoping the window will detects the primary monitor and the gimmick will work perfectly.
I'm here because the game started to behave weirdly when playing the boss of world 2. While playing, the game changed screen, went windowed instead of fullscreen. In my current setting (laptop with HD screen, and external SD monitor that I use to play), it was really weird and unplayable. I ended up unplugging my external monitor and playing on the laptop.
I'll try setting this "windows movement" option to "off" and see if it's better.
Thanks
Thanks, the gimmick now works perfectly in my environment
Looking forward to playing patch 1.0 :)
