In case that didn't have a Muse Dash account, i will be impossible to recover your game progress.
I did have an account and it was still the same issue. I still have the screensavers unlocked, just the songs locked and my levels reset.
1) Go to [Muse Dash] -> Options -> Account.
2) Copy your Account ID and Account UID.
3) Send a reset account report to the PeroPero website, filling in as many fields as possible.[service.peropero.net]
4) Log out of your Muse Dash account and wait for an email reply that your account has been reset (You must do this because Muse Dash rewrites your account data every time you open the game and this can undo the recovery of your progress).
5) Once you receive the email, PeroPero will inform you that it is safe to log back in.

...what if you didn't have an account? Will you have to replay everything again from 0?
Oh well at least I don't have the embarrassing 47 attempts with no FC on some songs any more.

It’s not entirely clear what caused the glitch, might have been the new Steam beta (with the privacy option) messing up the saves (as I speculated at first) or might even be completely unrelated, who knows. Anyway, in both cases the effect was that the save file was moved to a new directory. And sorry if this comes really late, but I wasn`t following the discussions, yet maybe this helps some people in the future.
tl;dr: Just check the new Programs(x86) - Steam - userdata - 0 - 774171 folder (this new “0” folder was created by the client in case of hiccups), copy/exchange the sav-file there into AppData - Local - Steam - Muse Dash, and you’re probably good. More info in the linked thread.
