Muse Dash
Cross platform DLC purchase
If I buy this game on mobile will my purchase of the DLC sync up or will I have to buy everything all over again?

Didn't know you'd have to buy it a second time lmao
Literally no point in playing it on mobile, gonna just uninstall it there. Bought the Hatsune dlc

No, since purchases are through the platforms (Steam, Apple, Google, Nintendo...) instead of PeroPero directly.

Steam won't honor money that you sent to Apple, and vice versa, so if you want the DLC on multiple platforms, you will unfortunately have to buy it multiple times.

That's a shame honestly
It's not really up to Steam it's up to the developers and they simply just don't have that support
DLC is in-game based as a microtransaction so they could easily do it they just don't want to lol

Valve and Apple both process the DLCs on their respective platforms, and take a 30% cut. This includes the microtransactions for Miku and Rin & Len.

It would be against Steam policy to handle microtransactions externally:

For any in-game purchases, you'll need to use the microtransaction API so Steam customers can only make purchases from the Steam Wallet.

Then why do purchases skins etc. on COD transfer to Warzone Mobile?
I've seen purchases go across accounts in many games from Epic games to Microsoft Game Store, it's totally doable they just don't want to lol
I've even bought DLCs on Overwatch 2 and it transfers to other platforms
They can use Steam to make purchases but it's once it's in the game it could totally freely unlock elsewhere, like I said; they just don't want to

I think you massively misunderstand the price point of DLC and size of publisher behind such transactions being "allowed". For what it is, Muse Dash is very affordable.

Every platform wants a cut for all content being served by them. So unless you are willing to pay quite a bit more for things involving this game you do not have quite the winning comment you think you do.

Those games either aren’t on Steam, or bypass Steam’s policy by only selling exclusive in-game currency (Cod coins, overwatch coins, v bucks…) for real money - which is a far more predatory marketing tactic. Look at Arcaea for an example of a rhythm game using this system: 100 Gems costs ¢99, effectively making each song cost a dollar irl. So unless you want Muse Dash’s content to go from costing maybe $40 total to $500… reconsider. (DJ Max Respect V moment)

Muse Dash is a much smaller indie game, compared to triple A giants like Call of Duty, meaning they have less resources to maintain server-side infrastructure required to validate payments across multiple platforms in a way that isn’t completely trivial to fool via spoofed data on the client’s end.

This is a much more understandable reason
It is doable, just hasn't been done
Definitely not buying content on both platforms so I just uninstalled the mobile version, no point really

Fair enough, same, I'm not a fan of the mobile version

The store page for the Muse Plus DLC states as follows:

Notes for Cross-Platform Players!
[Muse Plus] and music packs purchased on different platforms CANNOT BE SYNCED. Please confirm if you're using the device/platform that you have commonly used before purchasing.
If you are playing Muse Dash on multiple platforms at the same time, you can log into the bound account of your mobile device through [Option] → [Account] to sync your level, game data, etc. (★-ω-)b
