What's the difference between "Just As Planned" and "Muse Plus"?
Does anyone know what's the difference between "Just As Planned" and "Muse Plus"?

Just As Planned was a DLC that promised access to 100% of the game’s content for a one time fee, including every new song they EVER add to the game.

This was an unsustainable business model, because as they made more collaborations with games and musical artists, they were paying more to have the songs in the game than they were making in profits.

So, the dilemma was that they’ve promised owners of Just as Planned access to EVERYTHING, but their net profits were heading towards below zero. Muse Plus was the solution.

Just as Planned was removed from the store but kept by everyone who already owned it, and Muse Plus, which is priced the same as Just as Planned was, became available for purchase to anyone who didn’t get Just as Planned.

Muse Plus guarantees 500+ songs already in the game, WITH free content updates every 1-2 months, BUT, major DLCs that will release 0-2 times per year will not be unlocked for free by Muse Plus owners.

At the time of writing this (January 20th 2024), there are only 10 songs, and 1 character that Muse Plus owners have to pay an additional $7.99 USD to unlock: the [Miku in Museland] DLC.

tl;dr: Just as Planned gives you access to everything. Period. Muse Plus gives you access to everything except the Miku in Museland DLC (and any major DLCs that release in the future). If you own Just as Planned, buying Muse Plus will not do anything for you.

PS:

- Currently there is NO website that sells Keys to get [Just as Planned].
- It's recommended to follow the official Muse Dash Twitter to know when an update will be a DLC or monthly content: https://twitter.com/MuseDash_EN

If you want a table to know which Music Packs are available with the purchase of the [Muse Plus] Pass, you can check this guide:

I feel like a lot of the confusion may also come from the less than optimal translation from the developers. I'm not sure if they ever specifically stated that absolutely all future content would be free with [Just As Planned] when it was conceived. The main idea was that it would come with free monthly content updates, which Muse Plus still does. But the wording in their English translations have always felt a bit off and still confuse me in a lot of situations, so I suppose I really can't tell what their intent was.

The agreement provided by [Just as Planned] was not modified at any point: "That is, after purchasing [Just as Planned], there is no need to pay for further upgrades in Muse Dash."

Also, players who have not purchased this Pass before October 5, 2023, by purchasing the [Muse Plus] Pass have guaranteed content in each update called "Monthly Content".

That is, on a maximum of 2 occasions per year, the game will receive Monthly Content (For those who have [Muse Plus] Pass) + DLC Music Pack (An optional DLC purchase).

Yes, Just As Planned gets everything from every pack.

Muse Plus also gets the Touhou content because it’s not technically a “major DLC” like the Miku in Museland songs are.
