Sound effect lag, even though I am on a gaming + music PC with ASIO?

This game has audio lag, in that when I hit a key, the sound comes slightly late. It is enough to throw me off and have to disable it. (My timing is perfect - as the game shows. This is purely an issue with late sound effects.)

But this PC has an ASIO USB audio interface, where I get audio to have 0 perceptible lag, so that I can create music with 0 lag.

It seems that this game is not using my ASIO device. It has the exact same latency as if it were ignoring my ASIO driver.

Does anyone know how I can fix this? Can I force this game to use my ASIO driver?

OK, it seems that this game just doesn't have an option to use ASIO, like games like OSU do.
Now I have no idea how other gamers on Windows achieve low latency gameplay.
