family jules is the least popular soundrack version for crypt of the necrodancer
games liek BPM, and Hellsinger do pretty badly, despite solid concepts ( bc they use hard rock for their rhythm music )
in general, the genre doesn't suit this style of game, bc oftentimes rock and metal music is SLOW.
(Also most of it's songs are metal not hard rock)
Guitar Hero would like a word with you, also what do you mean by oftentimes it's slow there's plenty of subgenres that have songs that average 165bpm.
and let's be hionest dude, the genres didnt excatly survive the hair bands of the 70-s
Easter egg discovered today proved your thinking wrong.
Don't you guys set the limits of Peropero Games Team.

What easter egg?
EDIT: Right after I post I played Endless Error Loop and that might be the closest thing we've had to rock/metal so far despite Nanahira singing. The grimy guitar at the midpoint sounds great.
and guitar hero lacks electronic music.
seems fine to me.
