Dance Pad?

So I got an idea over the weekend and figured I'd ask around. Anyone here ever tried playing Muse Dash with a dance pad? I don't see why it would not work as far as alternate controller input since Muse Dash has no issues with either of the fighting sticks I usually use.

Mind you, some of these songs (esp at highest difficulty) would probably kill or at least disable me if I did them with the dance pad. But it seems like a fun idea nonetheless.

Haven't heard of anyone trying it but it should work just fine if you can get the inputs recognized.

I didn't really play on it but I was curious so I had opened multiple rhythm games with my dance pad as the controller to see if they worked. Muse dash was one of them, though I barely gave it a trial (So i cant speak for the quality of gameplay). It works, but it takes a lot of finnicking. Not too sure if it's worth the effort as for me the controls were really delayed and a little sloppy, but give it a try if you want to
