I'm more used to story and rhythm games that have at least a simplistic story, I think. Elite Beat Agents and Crypt of the Necrodancer come to mind, though I admit I've not played Guitar Hero, and I always had the impression that Guitar Hero didn't have a story beyond "Rise to rock stardom" so I guess that fits.
In any event, thanks! I think I'll seek a refund, but it was a fun game to visit.
