Muse Dash
how was the artwork done
I noticed this game's artwork is VERY smooth and sleek looking and no joke, im very confused as to how its like that. Can someone explain to me and give me a NON MEME ANSWER as to how they make the animations soo smooth and clean?

Most of it seems to be hybrid-animation. Using conventional methods of compositing (in e.g. Adobe After Effects) to scale, squish, stretch, rotate & move different layer groups of an illustration to create a keyframed animation. It will look really smooth for what it is (smoothed out curves & high fps output due to everything being handled by the used program's algorithms), but it has its limitations and is not viable for any kind of large scale animation work~

Edit: Forgot about Live2D being a thing. It's pretty much what I already said but it's a specialised piece of software for creating these lively looking animations out of a single / a couple 2D illustration(s). Just search for "Live2D" and you should have your answer~ ;)

I think they also are particularly passionate about what they do. Most Live 2D stuff isn't nearly as good. They clearly put in a ton of time and effort.

I think sometimes they also use actual 3D models, but really worked hard on the cell shading to make it look 2D.
