its just a way for the more casual players to experience harder songs, not game breaking,
Like I said, it's not highscore breaking, but it removes a lot of the challenge from the game. I've also already stated that it may be intended for less skilled players in my comment. But if you remove the challenge, how is anyone going to improve? Being given a handicap doesn't help you improve, playing at the right skill level does. Rhythm game players aren't just born with the skills they have you know? Not everything is about the leaderboard, things can be broken even if they aren't on top of the leaderboards.
Maybe you still refuse to change your opinion, but that's fine. If it sounds like I'm telling you how to enjoy your game (it probably does), feel free to ignore this, just want to make my opinion as someone who loves rhythm games but suck at it known.
1: you are absolutely right, this will be my last rhythm game because as a whole I don't actually like rhythm games, this one is the exception due to its ease of access, limited controls, and art direction efforts to not feel like a rhythm game.
2: I do play this for fun, I just don't care about improving at all because, as previously mentioned, I don't like the genre in general and don't intend to use these skills outside of this one game.
3: I generally don't care about achievements but it still feels good seeing a complete collection of global trophies in this. I don't particularly care about how they're obtained in-game as long as I get them eventually. My attitude about it is "the ends justify the means" since achievements don't matter beyond the good brain juice.
