question about characters

i wanna try to get into the top 10 of some songs but there are characters that give u more score points at which level will i start to find things for joker/little devil

As you level up, you get fragments (2 max). This fragments can be random and it isn't always character fragments. Sometimes you'll get elfin and picture fragments as well...

There's no specific level you have to achieve in order to unlock a new character but you can always expect it to be linear (like from Rin Bass to Rin Bat... to Rin Bunny Girl) so just be patient...

I've been playing for 3 hours leveling up nonstop and the first 2 skins I got were the base skin for the other 2 characters, not sure if that's intentional or not.
I wish there was a way to farm specific items tho because I really want to unlock different loading screens but I'm getting different image items every time D: guess I just need to keep playing and playing

i have 2 chars unlocked and i need a different one for ranking

Sadly, this is the reality of this game... There's no shortcut as far as my eyes can see...

The game does feels a bit grindy when it comes to unlocking stuff... I'm already level 115-ish when I unlocked everything (thanks Android ;D)... Now level 133

There is no way getting characters quickly. You can only level up and wait. And some players who already played Muse Dash on mobile about one year ago has probably already unlocked every character months before you started playing today.
I recommend forgetting your ranking for now and instead focusing on your accuracy (that % thing). This is hardly dependent on the characters you own and truly shows how skillful you are.
