Some way to mash buttons faster?
I'm a bit older so I can't smash buttons like I used to with the same finger. Is there some way to set the controller up so I can mash out buttons using alternating fingers for some of the Master level songs?

On my configuration, the whole left part of the controller controls the upper enemies and the whole right side controls the lower enemies (so, any direction or left bumper for up, and any button or right bumper for down). If you make Fever mode automatic, it makes it easier too.
And, Master level isn't all about button mashing, it's timed precision tapping.

(Well, maybe a little bit of mashing.)

Don't use the default controller configuration. Use the second or third configuration instead, which splits the inputs so that some face/D-pad buttons on each side correspond to both the blue and pink notes. As songs get faster, you have to start alternating between using your right hand and left hand. For example, using the second configuration, a group of pink enemies will be dealt with by quickly alternating between X, right (on the D-Pad), X, right, X, right, and so on.

If you use a controller. Rotate both of the joysticks quickly. Saves yours fingers from getting sore.

Make sure you use at least two buttons/key per side. This game is clearly not mean to be played with one finger on each side. Not two total, four total. Like Taiko. You can set that up in the options.

I have D/F to strike up and J/K to strike down.

it's better two have lower keys under the upper keys.

5 6
2 3

from the numpad, that way you can alternate fingers and hands at the same time getting better speed.

Add more buttuns to a lane. I use ASD and JKL. (if JKL is too cloes to the other hand, use 456 instead on numpad if you have one)

With a Controller, the Rush Beats in combination with the Sticks are ridiculously easy.
A good alternativ way to play this Game is using a Fighting Stick Controller. You have the Stick AND conttroll that is similar to Keyboard.

Seems like the game doesn't punish you for spamming buttons which isn't a good thing....

First: Use a keyboard
Second: DFG are the buttons for bottom, JKL for top.
To mash quickly, you press multiple at once. So if there is a long string of enemies on the bottom, you mash DF using your index and middle.

yeah, don't use a contyroller - use a keyboard - map one side of the screen to a few keys on th eleft part of the kb, and a few to the right. i do
SXDC for left side / top
and
JNKM for right side/bottom.

good luck on anything above 7* on a controller, I tried for months to find a way to work it out ( when I played on Android emulator for PC ) and not a single setup I used made the game confortable, or manageable.you cn probably still find my post here talking about it before release on PC.
