Do you use Offset?
So I have Muse Dash on mobile too and based on the recommendations of the devlopers, they have different offsets for different phones. However on PC it seems that they don't have any recommendations at all.

Do you guys even modify the Offset values?

I don't, and usually you shoudn't unless you have serious hardware, software, or disability/very poor rhythm sense issues. At least on PC.

Even if one's bad with rhythm games, i'd highly suggest trying to improve rather than adapting the game to one's flawed sense of rhythm, (eg: Using the beat as a cue to hit rather than anticipating it, i could imagine someone doing that even though it's wrong) but you could always offset it by a couple ms if you find that you always end up a little bit ahead or behind.

Any time i tried changing the offset in a rhythm game it's done more bad than good though.

TL;DR You likely shouldn't, it's more meant for unusual and rare cases.

The offset tool can be done strictly with audio cues, but when doing so, it sets my offset so high that my hit sound effects come out delayed by like 0.1 seconds.

I've still opted to apply a tiny bit of offset delay and I noticed I started getting more perfects when I kept the rhythm up. I think if you have an IPS monitor the offset tends to be fairly steep. TN monitors have a faster response rate so it'd feel more consistent.

There's no global recommendation for PC cause there's so many different setups. IPS vs TN monitors and potentially even GPU model affect your visual delay, and mechanical vs membrane vs controller affect your input delay.

yes I use +110ms offset and sound efects off.

I tried it out for a short time because it's hard to hit all small enemies perfectly but it didn't help there so I never used it again. This game is just about skill and you learn and become better. That's fun.

The offset doesn't have anything to do with skill. It's about trying to match the timing between what you see on the screen and what you hear from your speakers/headphones. This is usually more of a problem on the PC compared to consoles, as different setups can have different results. There apparently can be many possible causes for a mismatch, including latency between the graphics card/display adapter and monitor, latency to sound card, processor, etc.

I actually came here though to say that I wasn't using an offset until a couple weeks ago. It was perfectly synced until an update in early August, where I suddenly needed a +0.075 ms offset. It's so weird. I've been trying to figure out what changed. And for the record, I actually used to get 100% accuracy on a few difficulty 7 songs and up, before needing to use the offset, just so you know it isn't a matter of skills being off suddenly or something. There really is something that changed with how my game is timing itself, and I can't figure out what.

I tried all kinds of things, including updating or rolling drivers back for all kinds of things, including my motherboard. I tried using both front and back panels for the audio jack. I also tried using different keyboards (mechanical and normal business keyboard), as well as the mouse and a controller. Nothing seemed to be the cause of this. Tbh it's not that big of a deal, but I miss the sound effects, as I had to turn them down due to the large discrepancy between the timings. Also it bothers me that something happened that I can't figure out. Like leaving an unsolved puzzle.

Just turn on v sync i guess

vsync is the worst thing you can turn on, on a rythym game, it introduces way too much input lag.

Is the offset unit, miliseconds?
Never needed it.

If anything it makes it a bit more confusing for some.
