-You create a faction right from the start
> But now you create a faction that actually changes depending on what options you choose like mount and blade, where as before you got to pick a flag and nothing else............
-Start with more than 3 people - can get right into fights
> Thats not stopped me getting into fights ... in fact my first fight i got a bit in over my head, lost all 3 guys i was last man standing, but i also got 20k funds, a 57 armour body piece and a scar-l and was able to one man army up to 20-25 stacks till i recruited enough dudes back. Whether this is intended or not i dont know but it was good fun.
-Can recruit entire squads from the get go (WHY did they remove this?
> eh, im indifferent to this, although before i remember recruiting dude 24/7 just to loose em real quick and spending loads of time organising squads. Now its more straight forward.
Would be nice to be able to see info on a unit before you buy it tho. Like why is a marine 43k and a bodyguard 17k. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE!
-Battle maps are of reasonable size and fights occur quickly - compared to the new version where every map is huge and it can take minutes to even find your target
> again i much prefer the larger maps, it taking a couple minutes to find the enemy is not a big deal at all...... and after 5 it shows their location anyways. Personally i find that finding some high ground with some cover and letting them come to you means you can take on forces much much larger than yourself easily.

> the looping thing is odd and annoying i agree

> they are better for me than they used to be .... and the gun play feels better. Although i hate toggle ADS. Does my nut in.
Certainly doesnt feel as polished as i was expecting, compared to when i last played in Feb/April. Certainly i better though IMO. Probably will need another 6-12 months of work to actually finish it but im enjoying it right now.
Oh wasnt there supposed to be vehicles? I swear there was. What other features were stripped out?
Completely agree with this
Why don't you use the stat window and find out?

Oh no, an entire 5 minutes MAXIMUM!?!?! =O
My god i dont think ive ever had to wait for anything for that long EVER! Thats an INSANE amount of time to have to wait! Sweet baby jesus where is my pitch fork!
Sarcasm aside, ive literally never had the issue of needing to wait the entire 5 mins before spotting the enemy. Invest in some binos and some high ground, make sure you look in the direction of the enemy spawn. It takes about 60 seconds to sprint from one side of these maps to the other, so by the time you have gotten up a hill or incline, and started scanning the AI have barely moved out from their spawn. Easy to find everytime, and there is always a spot on the map you can go to. If your at the point where you have loads of dudes, just fan em out 4 squads will cover the width of the map when you take into account spotting ranges.
Are you trying to imply that's not a long ass time to be simply looking for the enemy?
All the suggestions your giving me apply to late game. One of my whole points is that the huge maps make the beginning of the game specifically an incredible slog, especially now that you can't immediately recruit squads and start with less. And again, none of this was a problem and all worked fine in the earlier versions with the maps that were already big enough for all the same tactics. If I had to "find the enemy" every single battle in Warband I would go absolutely insane, this adds nothing to the game.
i mean i startet with only a sidearm went into 1 fight got binos and a rifle and startet engaging squads of up to 20 people
Not sure what version the beginning version is at, but they did a HUGE graphics revamp from 0.2 to like 0.8 (no versions in between), and if you think 0.2 is better than 0.8 you need to see a doctor.
The early version maps had lots of bugs (ever heard of Mount Bugmore?), and your so-called "simplicity of UI" would translate to "lack of content" in our language.
I can’t even pretend it makes sense that you’re ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about starting choices. Really? What DO you like about this game?
If you’re this unhappy I seriously suggest you find another game. Your weird list implies you want a completely different game. Maybe you should consider starting a dev company with all your amazing ideas? You can save us ignorant masses from making choices and females.
I liked the old campaign map music way better.
Doesn't sound like looped commercial music.
The old battle maps were just fine.
The old campaign map itself looked better, and felt better.
Old male char models seemed better.
I liked how I had the choice of waiting a few minutes before engaging, or getting right into it, just instead of having to march around for a couple of minutes before anything happens.
What happened to the economy?
Why does there need to be so much money?
Is the country terribly inflated???
What was wrong with say 3k for a good gun, instead of a few dozen thousand?
And magazines being like 30 bucks instead of a couple hundred, What?
RIP on-map vehicles.
I didn't care that much for combat vehicles, but RIP transports.
(Is there call-ins already, like artillery yet?)
Some current things still feel like place-holders (interactions for example.)
March 2018 - Roughly Q4 2018 + A bit of current FGW + Some more polish = Really good game.
(2018 FGW seemed funner somehow.)
The dev's really went in a good direction, but also steps sideways
Full release seems a bit pre-mature.
Thank you for being so professional. Not trying to knock the game I honestly love the concept and wish the best for it and will continue to play it if it continues to receive updates
