The ending impression (massive spoilers)
Warning! Spoilers

Well, there is something that I want to get off my chest. I enjoyed like 99% of the narrative. The suspense was good. The atmosphere was great. You kept building the game to this awesome conclusion. And then, nothing. Lucy was traumatized, well we knew that from the first chapter. Not that the ending is terrible, it was fine, even though it did not give me enough closure. You had so much mystery around the story, and then you just opted out for the most predictable path.

I was kinda hoping for that psychiatrist to be some kind of psychopath that killed the dad and hypnotized Lucy and Mum. Then Lucy could like stub him in real life and all of the bad things would go away (because he would stop using hypnosis on both of them). Too dark XD? Oh well, I still liked the game, but I guess I wanted it to go kaboom at the end.

What do you guys think? Did you like it?

Also, what happened to that area with naked statues? I don't know if I ever saw it. Unless I have a really bad memory.

I think if the game picks up and people want to play it, we will then release DLC with alternative endings. We planned this to be included from the start, however because (always stated), the game is worked on after hours, we don't have enough time to complete everything we wanted.

This project took us 22 months of after hours development. If we can start full time, I'm sure we could deliver multiple way better games in shorter time :) Keep fingers crossed.

I don't really expect any more content from you. You did a good job (just need to fix the crashes). Something just felt off to me... something was missing.

While I disagree with the vision of the OP :paperbag: , the end also came a little too abrupt. It is fine that the resolution taken was the classic one, as I, as a father of a small daughter, can relate to it even more. But a few more screens or just sentences between mother and daughter at the end would have made the ending so much smoother. Maybe you can still add this, but it's a thumb up in any case.

Oh, and the gods kind of felt as we lost them after the middle of the game, somewhat too little fleshed out, but then again, they don't really help, anyway, do they?

I did enjoy the ending,as a widower and father of 2 strong boys ,I can say that I agree with the ending. No fire works and mystical twist might feel mild flavored but the truth is that it is this way. What sometime feel banal in fiction is strait unbearable in reality.
