Custom Ammo Feedback
Hey everyone,

The feedback you have all been giving us so far is really awesome. I have gone through a lot of the threads already created and we have been able to gather some really useful feedback, so thank you all for taking the time to test out the ammo and give us your thoughts.

In order to be able to get a quick overview of as much of the feedback as possible, I wanted to test out having this sticky thread so that we can make it a lot easier to gather the relevent feedback. So here is what I am thinking. Make bullet points of the ammo types you have tried and give very brief details of what you think (1-2 sentences max).

for example:
Poision:
- <your feedback as a bullet point>
- <your feedback as a bullet point>

Incendiary:
- <your feedback as a bullet point>
- <your feedback as a bullet point>


Please keep it to the format outlined above. More detailed feedback can be posted as a regular threead in the forums. The sole purpose of this thread is to gather the main points in one place so it is easier to manage and get to the team to be looked at.

Dear Crytek-Team/Hunt-Team,

I also want to give my opinion to the custom ammo. Once per the Ammo-Types I tested and in general.
I agree that the custom ammo should always be a sidegrade, not an upgrade, but it has still some issues from my point of few.
So let's start, I only want to go in depth with the ammo types, that I tested and which should be adjusted in my opinion:


-Incendiary:
although it seems very powefull tu have ammo, that can burn a health-bar when hit twice, I think the ammo is all in all a little underwhelming.
For Sidearms, such as e. G. the Bornheim:
It deals less damage and if the enemy hunter is set on fire, it doesn't really matter, because the fire is burning the last bar.
I had a situation where I shot a hunter from about 7 to 10 meters and he didn't die after 3 or 4 shots, he killed me instead with a headshot, so I could spectate him and he had still about 40 HP left. So it is a little underwhelming that from a distance so close the bullet deals still so less damage.
For Long-Rifles like mosin or lebel, it will still be the case that 2 or 3 shots will kill the enemy hunter so the gimmick that an enemy is set on fire is not as important as it could be.
To put it in a nutshell, Incendiary is very strong for lategame, if some hunters already lost bars due to burning, but it doesn't really help you in the actual fight.


-Poison
Seems okay, a little on the weakerside in terms of damage, but the enemy hunters can't heal and have the visual bloom from poison, unless they haven't an antidote-shot.


-Explosive-Rounds
Seems fine to me, although the bullet travel time is a little to high maybe.


-Flechette
Here the Flechette also underperforme a little in terms of damage.
I had the situation that I charged to enemy hunters who where trapped inside a barn, because they where fighting a third team.
I shot them both with the new terminus handcanon and flechett from 3 to 5 meters and hit them both two times each. They both didn't die aand killed me. So I spectated the one who killed me and he had still 40 to 30 HP left.
I understand that the new ammo should not be overpowered and that a shotgun with flechette can no longer oneshot is totally fine, but that two shots aren't enough from 3 to 5 meters is also underwhelming.
With a shotgun from this distance all hunters should be killed with at least 2 shots.


-Dumdum-Rounds
couldn't test them that much, but seemed okay.


-FMJ-Ammo
just feels nice, I think this is by now the best balanced custom-ammo-type on the test-server.


-Slugs
feels nice, you trade precision against r-n-g, but the range could be a little increased, or to say it in other words the damage-drop-off shouldn't be so fast.


-Spitzer-Ammo
Didn't tested them that much, because I personal didn't wanted to trade damge over bullet-speed, sam goes till now for the fast handgun ammo as well.


-In total:
As I said, I totaly understand, that the ammo should be a sidegrade. But most of it lacks in terms of damage, some ammo doesn't lose damage at all and some does.
I think it would be better, if some of the ammo types would deal almost as much damage as the normal pendent and should be balanced in damage-dropp-off in reach and in mussle velocity and bullet-travel-time.
That in close range the custom ammo underpreforms in such a significant way feels rather bad, in special, because you have to buy the new ammo-types.

If it should be an sidegrade, than you should consider giving it to the hunters for free, if this is the case, than there are no changes needed at all, because you don't pay for the ammo, you get an additonal effect and have a lack in damage, but hey you haven't payed for it so it is fine.

But if you actually pay for the ammo and put youself in such a disadvantage it feels rather bad.

. Range seems further than is intended as even at ranges beyond its stated OHK range they will almost one shot hunters, particularly with the romero.

Explosive rounds
.after the update, Stat sheet on the Springfield shows damage increase from 132 to 143 when equipping explosive rounds

-Spitzer-Ammo
It make my European Ping 250 mozin feel like my normal Asia's 60 Ping game when I try to shoot something in term of leaning time. Which should say something about how OP the ammo is (or the current quality of the server, depended on your POV).
Still I feel that the current price is too high.

-Flechette Ammo
Too unreliable, bad spread or the ammo doesn't flinch enemy when hit at same range as normal shotgun shell.
I did got point-blank headshot, and even that require additional shot to finish my enemy.
Honestly I won't mind if these shotgun custom can OHK at 1-2 meters for the sake or 'believeability'.

Lemet's Dragonbreath
It's a meme, as you would expected. Duel-wielding it doesn't make it any better.
Best use as flamethrower to kill mob due to how wide it's spread is. Test on mob at 15m, it kill everything that's weak to fire.
