Well, not recovering sanity on resting would make it more like the Chaosium system...but the original game actually got sanity back when resting at the house or the docks. Might want to look into that. Glory to the Old Gods!

The game will not start up on Linux, you need to do: dos2unix AotBlackGOATEdition.sh in order to fix the line endings. Now to go and try the game....

Is there any differences or reasons to buy this, if you already own the original game and all of the DLC?

I thought it's not a Cthulhu Dating Sim, so why does it say this in the description? "Comes with New Game+ Benefits, the most amazing Cthulhu Dating Sim in the universe,..." That's somewhat confusing.
