Confusion over Mage Heroic Feat
Hey Gang,

I'm a bit confused about something with how the Mage's Heroic Feat plays out.

How one earns a Heroic die is clear enough as well as needing to commit to using a Heroic die during the Heroic Feat phase of the turn is also clear. Where I'm confused is why am I rolling his Heroic Feat die before the encounter? I understand that with the Rogue, for example, a pre-encounter roll is necessary to check for a potential injurous fumble, but there is no needed check with the Mage's Storage Heroic Feat, so what is that die roll for?

That's just order of operations. Every character decides how many heroic dice they want to roll from their feat before they roll the rest of their pool and use skills.

Oh, okay, it isn't a check, it's just rolled before the main roll, got it.
