could you share some more details on that, first of starting with your system specs (OS, CPU, GPU and RAM)?
Could you share some more details what you have done in advance, that might have caused this freeze, e.g. skipped tutorials, frequently switched/alt-tabbing out to windows; whatever might help getting this properly sorted and also reproduced to verify this problem and potentially fixing it accordingly.
What about your savegame, how much progress did you lose and why not saving regularly by yourself? As the game offers quite a lot of savegame slots that should be used, as sometimes decisions could be done differently and players should have the chance to do so ad hoc. :)
Thank you in advance.

Didn't skip any content, I think I alt+tabbed out maybe twice over my playthrough, but early in the game.
As for how much progress I lost, the save was when I first entered the prune offices for the first time (had just stepped out of the elevator). God knows how long that was, but a while.
As to why not save myself, I didn't really see the point unless I was quitting. I saved a lot in the beginning, but after I died the first time, I figured out that there were no absolute failstates, and the game seemed stable enough (never had an issue before this one) to not warrant saving, as the game is completely linear. I also like to just roll with the punches, so any decision done is something I just tend to live with, and see where the game takes me. I find this way much more enjoyable, though I did look up weird puzzle solutions while playing, as I just don't have the patience I did when I played the original Larry games, way back when.
thank you for the detailed feedback. However, problem here is, as you have no respective savegame available as well, it is hard to impossible for us, tracking down, what might have caused this problem so far. Alt-tabbing out and back into the game as well as skipping some dialogaues completely (button-spamming) might be a cause, however, this one is tough to pinpoint. Therefore, only solution in the meantime is simply starting the latest savegame, porbably saving more often and if this happens again, providing us either with proper reproduction steps, or with a respective savegame, to get this sorted properly, verified and if verified most likely fixed.
Thank you in advance.

Like I wrote in my OP, I just watched the ending on youtube, and that'll be the last of it. Just pretty annoyed about the whole ordeal. Furthermore, I already gave you the "reproduction steps". Maybe you didn't read my post.
as I have already mentioned in this thread, without proper details (system specs, reproduction steps, to get this tested on our end) and a respective savegame to get this easily reproduced and tested on our end, this is something tough to impossible to sort out.
Therefore, best would be providing us with those details, that we can have a look into this.
Thank you in advance.

after that, could you properly play and continue the game?
Do you have a savegame, or any more details, besides your system specs, that we can have a closer look into this?
Thank you in advance.

could you share some more details on that? As without further details, it is impossible for us getting this properly sorted.
