I was able to solve the issue by randomly clicking everywhere like a schizophrenic wife who found the toilet seat up. Somehow, Larry got unstuck again.
Hey! Sorry that you are having this issue. Where you at the pier when the story told you to progress there, or did this issue randomly happen as you were just trying to explore everything?
Another question, would anyone like to be able to recover from issues like this with savegames for specific saving points, from which you could just play on?
It happened in front of the Pawn shop (Waltraud). I don't know if I interacted with her or not prior of getting stuck. But it wasn't the first time I was in that location and also not the first time I've interacted with her. It just happened out of nowhere.
If i remember correctly, I got stuck somewhere between the purple 42 sticker on the left and that rat hole on the right.
I could get unstuck only by randomly clicking different spots left and right. And *phew* thank god that worked, because my save state was in this unfortunate situation.
And there was a second issue to that: Being stuck in that spot, if I tried to click on the EXIT sign to the right, my mouse pointer would disappear. After that, even the menu wouldn't show up when hitting ESC. The game itself wasn't frozen, but somehow I think the UI crashed or something. The only option was ALT+F4.
Although I've finished the game, it would make make sense to add some autosave slots. Let's say 3-5 which save in order every 5-10 minutes? At least if the first autosave is corrupted or you're somewhere stuck, you can test the older save states.
Btw. nice Easter eggs references to 80s-90s games. :)
At least you made it out again and your game is not completely lost :D
I will report these to the Devs nevertheless and see if there is something to fix this. Implementing an Auto Save won't happen probably, but maybe we can upload some saves somewhere for fallbacks.
Sure, better than nothing. :D
Year 2025 run!
I stuck at least twice early in game, once when i wanted to leave toilet after chat in girl sitting there and I freezed unable to move on a bottom of the screen. Second time I stucked right in Leftys bar, OUT interactive point stopped react somehow, again, and I freezed on a way out.
