I honestly don't mind the change as long the game is well animated and funny.

I'm just thankful we get an other Larry game, so my expectations are pretty low so start with.

Yeah while the game itself looks really good, Larry himself is pretty strange. Being short with a long nose and a bit of a belly was kind of his trademark.

But well, as long as the game is going to be fun I sure get used to it.

Yea i agree he looks strange since the fans of the serie are used to his Larry 1 VGA, 5, 6 & 7 design but he did look normal in Larry 1, 2 & 3 (due to limited tech/colors) so pretty sure the team working on it decided with some sort of soft-reboot with a design that combine both.

As for the art style i really like what they have now but i will miss that weird morphed odd shapes buildings & interior Larry 5 & 6 had.

Music wise i don't think we will be getting music done by Al Lowe himself this time, if we do then even better!

The only real complain i personally have is the price, it is a lot higher than i expected i just hope the game has the content to back up it's worth.

Actually you just reminded me i forgot to mention that he looks younger too, i actually went back to check the screenshot to see if he had a bald spot but none of the screenshot show is back.

Yeah I don't understand what they were thinking with this redesign.
They should return to the drawing board and make something that looks like ... Larry.
(Larry 7 or Larry 1 remake.)

Otherwise the graphics look okay, but this is 10x worse than how Guybrush looked in the Special Edition of Monkey Island 1.

I wouldn't say he looks Gubrush SE bad, but the design does take a bit of getting used to, as he's so different from what he used to be. But at least he's not Box Office Bust bad.

Well, it depends which Larry you mean and wich one is your favorite character. We try to make a Larry game based on the "original" Larry, so Larry 1. Larry was a normal guy, but a small person with a belly. That's we our Larry look more like the Larry from Larry 1 (and also 2-3).

Larry was always older and much smaller, even on the first game, you can see how Larry standing is smaller than a music machine and half the size of any other male. On the VGA edition was the same.

Your larry is not based on Larry 1, is a new larry and not faithful at all. You should really think about a redesign, almost everyone thinks the same after the reveal of the game

I always thought Larry looked kind of strange in Larry7 with his head being 3 or 4 times bigger than heads of other characters. I kind of like this new one.

Redesign is always welcome. The non-involvement of the original creator and writer of Larry, Al Lowe, nor the original voice actors of Larry, the Narrator, etc, is the real problem here. Like Simon the Sorcerer 4 & 5, I smell a flop.
