Party Members Out of Range Should Be Transparent
Healing is a nightmare because of this. There should be an indication of whether the party member is in range or not. Really hard to keep track of names in Arena. Makes the game play tedious AF. Probably why people don't like healing.

Their name is on the bar and on screen, this is all about visual skill and ability to press the correct key, there is no need to belittle this. If anything you shouldn't even be looking at the party health bars, you should be concentrating on what is in front of you.

That would be fine if you were able to click on peoples chars accurately when they get clumped up with other people.

There are hotkeys you can use to target specific party members. Its either the number keys (1-0) or the Function keys (F). These hotkeys can be changed within the settings.

You see a bunch of names clumped up and bars its hard to tell even who your trying to heal. That's why having some indicator if a party member is on your screen or not would be beneficial so you know who to hotkey.

If you're talking about Large scale fights (ZvZ) / Small Scale fights (SS). Its better to use AOE healing giving the amount of people during the brawl (This is why there are separate parties in ZvZ to have a dedicated healer for the main tanks / shotcaller, and other healing in the second party) to stop healing sickness and party management. Due to the large amount of people, there is going to be impact on visibility, and the amount of stuff happening on the screen at once. An indicator would be additional noise that will clog your screen IMO

If you are talking about arenas. There are three visual points (The party list, Teammates health bars above them, Colour dots on map) that indicate your team mates positions and health status. With this information, you should be available to hotkey (F1: first member in list - F5) to the right person and give them the proper dedicated healing using Holy, or group using Nature.

To help you right now, one thing that indicates is a faded info box (Name / Health).
This shows that they are on the edge of your screen. If the box is fully visible, they are near / on your screen directly

But to continue the discussion, can you share an mmo that uses a feature like this, so I can see how its implemented?

If you click 6:00 you can see that the druid in her party is transparent. This indicates the person is far away/off screen. This would be beneficial for 5v5s or ZvZ for obvious reasons. It's really hard for 5v5 to memorise everyone's names and assign them a hotkey in your head every single match especially with how quick the matches are.

Would be a really nice quality of life feature in this game to have. Not having it makes the game way more tedious than it should be for me to play.

I see what you mean, that makes sense. I would suggest you add it to the forums which have more visibility.
