PREMIUM IS TOO EXPENSIVE
It's an expensive premium, but it's hard to feed a beginner 30 million

Actually, the price of premium is bound to the albion economy very closely, specifically it is bound to the price of gold on the gold market.

We agree that it is currently higher than is healthy and have started taking measures to bring down the price.

The whole topic is a bit too complex to explain in one message, but basically, we've introduced a system that will decrease the inflation of the gold price long-term, but it might take a while until you see the effect.

Thank you for the honest answer and for solving the problem.
ill simplify
They increased the actual USD cost of premium-
all their whales will just use their massive stores of silver to buy premium- thus DRIVING gold prices up INSANELY.
because heres a little trick they dont tell you- when you buy premium- it ALWAYS converts your silver to gold, and buys it with that.
SO
What does this mean?
Think about it
I wont write the answer here. But the pieces are laid out.
thanks for the information

to add to this, why would they want to cater to you when they can just keep sucking the teat of the whales?
the best off-hand weapon in this game is a credit card.
*shrugs*

I dunno. I just pay real money for the premium. It's only what, 1 hour of real life work to enjoy the game fully for an entire month? Seems like a good deal for me, it's a cheap price for something I enjoy as a hobby. No need to stress out about grinding silver just to get premium. Same is true for WoW, for example.
The worse part is premium used to cost $5 back then
Now its $16 (30 days)

I think you misunderstand how the gold market works and how the price of premium is connected to it.

To put it simply, gold is a resource, and players can buy that resource for silver on the gold market. When you buy premium for silver, you actually buy gold from the gold market which is converted into premium days. (3750 gold = 30days premium)
Because the demand for gold is higher than the supply (supply being, players buying gold from the shop and selling it for silver on the gold market) the price of gold rises, and with it does the price for premium.
Additionally, Silver in the game inflates through silver faucets, such as silver bags and monster drops, as well as the Black Market. The supply of silver is (in proportion) higher than the supply of gold, which tips the balance in that direction.

We are trying to tackle this issue from both ends, for one by sinking silver, reducing the inflation, and by adding gold faucets where we can to increase the supply.

Since the Economy is left to its own devices for the most part, as one of the core principles of the game, its not as easy as changing a pricetag somewhere. ^^

When you say long term, you are talking about what- a 10 year range? Because since that post it has gone UP like 10%.

So, whatever you guys tackle from both ends (lol), it is not the gold price....

With how they allow the game to be a player driven economy there's nothing they can actually do without redesigning the system or setting limitations to certain "factions" running things.

The markets on every server/region are run by the same groups. The moment something changes they react to make it shift in their favor. They use botting systems as well as "mods" so there's little that can be done by regular players. Not to mention the illegal sites you can use to purchase items/currency for cheap (this is a huge part of the issue). The people doing that are adding to the problem.

Asking the developers to take action seems kinda silly to me though. As easily as they could put a stop to all the bs within the game they can just as easily allow it and still make bank. So it's more a matter of what the majority are okay with that the devs react to rather than "new players welcome".

*All information gathered was through deep diving, paying attention to markets (literally watching the bots sit at the market for countless hours never logging until maintenance), and an absurd amount of common sense.*
The issue of premium pricing/gold cost would be resolved if SBI regionalized premium pricing for each country. It would be really easy to do something like that; you could base it on the price of Netflix in that country or the price of WoW.

Remember that WoW's subscription is linked to the account, not the character. The number of people worldwide who would pay SBI DIRECTLY instead of buying gold would be absurd. People could use gold to buy cosmetic items, or even pay for premium when needed, etc.

This would end the money farms that many people use bots to transport hearts, something EVERYONE KNOWS EXISTS. YOU CAN SEE DOZENS OF THESE BOTS DOING THIS. This ruins part of the economy, creating this bloat. If residents of the rest of the planet, outside of Europe and the USA, could pay for premium without spending an absurd monthly amount... These cheats would lose their profit, and the money would go to the company to pay for development and profit-hungry shareholders.

This wouldn't ruin the game like it did by reducing all the rewards from chests in various activities...
I have an idea. Allow mobs to drop gold.
Mobs already drop gold in the form of silver.
Mediocre crap game, greediest of the team plus half the player base is uncontrolled BOTs.
