Yeah, I get that. If I am not mistaken though, the work you'd do for the equipment has a multiplier such that higher tier equipment takes so much more materials to acquire and work. Therefore if you lose your equipment after all that work because a mass of people just gank you while you are solo going through a region, you'd lose all that effort. Just not a fan of that for the solo player as group only success games. Would change the game feel imo if that was only certain servers etc. Thanks for the info though.
That's because it's not designed for you to just run around wearing your entire wealth, wear what you can afford to replace at least 10 times over, there are time and places you can wear and risk more stuff, like I got into a guild who took me to black zone map dungeons and they are wearing expensive stuff, different activities and risks will require more or less. Maybe the type of game isn't for you and that's fine, there's plenty of other mmorpg to suit your taste.
Blue zones - no gear loss, no flagged PvP, knockdown in Faction PvP
Yellow zones - no gear loss, knockdown in flagged open PvP, knockdown in Faction PvP
Red zones - full gear loss in flagged and faction PvP
Black zones - full gear loss, always flagged for PvP
All zones PvE: Knockdown, can be finished off by a player in Red and Black zones
These properties are inherited by other content within those zones. So if you defeat someone in mists, corrupted dungeon, or dungeon originating within a Yellow Zone, it will result in a knockdown. Exceptions occur when fighting in specifically designated full PvP locations like camps in Red Zones.
