Death Lose All Your Gear
Played when it first released and if you died in pvp zone, you lost everything. Curious if that still exists or not?

Depending on the zone. You lose gear only in Red Zones and Black Zones.

Yeah, I get that. If I am not mistaken though, the work you'd do for the equipment has a multiplier such that higher tier equipment takes so much more materials to acquire and work. Therefore if you lose your equipment after all that work because a mass of people just gank you while you are solo going through a region, you'd lose all that effort. Just not a fan of that for the solo player as group only success games. Would change the game feel imo if that was only certain servers etc. Thanks for the info though.

Well you're not supposed to carry expensive high tier stuff into full-loot zones (red and black). Always wear what you can afford to lose, most people don't use stuff above tier 4 or so which is typically cheap

That's because it's not designed for you to just run around wearing your entire wealth, wear what you can afford to replace at least 10 times over, there are time and places you can wear and risk more stuff, like I got into a guild who took me to black zone map dungeons and they are wearing expensive stuff, different activities and risks will require more or less. Maybe the type of game isn't for you and that's fine, there's plenty of other mmorpg to suit your taste.
