Regarding "earning premium ingame"
How possible and maintainable is it really to try to play this game with premium without spending a penny on it, so only earning premium via ingame money famring means?

Some players play without premium, but it really does slow you down. I’ve had premium for over 6 months now without spending a cent of IRL$.

I started out mostly fishing, with a little gathering, agriculture, and PvE on the side. It took me almost 30 days (though not playing much time per day) to earn enough go buy my first 30 days of premium. But once I did that, the bonuses of premium greatly increased my rate of earning silver, plus also increased how fast I gained levels, which increased my earning even more. At this point I could probably earn 30 days in under a week if I focused on maximum-speed earning for 2-3 hour per day. And that’s while I’m hoarding most of the output of my farms, not selling everything I grow per day. So every 30 days I can spend less gametime grinding silver and more doing fun stuff like hunting for baby mounts, gathering and hoarding T8 resources, trying to kill mobs that I haven’t ever beaten yet like the Dread Lord, etc.

But hey, remember it takes money for this game to exist, so if you do enjoy the game, it wouldn't be so bad to throw them some bones for a skin you like.
Yeah, if i end up enjoying the game, i damn well will support the devs. I just love being able to earn myself premium in games. It's a nice challenge for myself imo.

you'll receive 1,000 learning points when you first purchase premium regardless how you go about buying it so it's something to look forward to also you will be able to purchase your Island you're going to want to do that as soon as you're able to even if you stop paying for premium once you have your Island you have it forever

Not trying to be rude but why are you even worried about premium with a total playtime of 3 mins?

I play on the standalone launcher, not on steam (as i always do if given the chance due to personal preference). I just posted my question here, since this is an easy to reach forum of the game, where i get notified reliably.

there's a standalone version of the game and steam is not as great as it used to be so don't be surprised if people are not using steam all the time for every game they have on Steam when steam goes through maintenance I sometimes can't play Albion so I also use the Standalone version too occasionally

steam also takes a cut some people prefer to support the developers instead of valve

Pretty much spot on. within the last two months, i had "steam-outages" at least 3 or 4 times, each spanning from a few hours to multiple days, where i could not play any online game through the steam launcher. That's why all the games i play that are online, adn have a seperate launcher available, like Albion, or Guild Wars 2, I play on those standalone launchers. Plus the whole 30% cut thing with devs i in general want to support, no matter if multiplayer or not.

I can farm 1 mil an hour with Fishing in I believe a t6 Blackzone near hide out with an agreement from other guilds to not kill eachother. If you can get a T7 or T8 zone and fish or any other good farming methods you can very easily get membership for 17 hours a month.

I'd rather just keep my silver and buy premium with irl money though.

You can def do it, and once you get premium and a decked out island the island alone will almost pay off premium by itself, depending on what you grow/sell or if you craft it into other stuff that sells for more. If you like pvp you can make alot from killing people, but also the risk of losing. Dungeons are also reliable every now and then, Its definately a game that is able to be self sufficient without spending a 1$, but the start is rough so if you get the first month like i did it should last till you stop playing if you keep up with your stuff.
