Like.. low exp and loot? compared to?
The early/mid game had/has no catch-up mechanics for new players on the only Server.
So all the big guilds would camp high tier areas and farm top quality exp and loot and not let anyone else play, everyone else had to farm low exp/loot areas, and those areas never get improved and are ignored :(
Idk how true this is now tho or how dated that info was from, it didnt seem like they knew about some of the latest updates.
And it can be kinda hard roaming for solo dungeons in black zones. Many zones are controlled by guilds that just kill you on sight.
t6 = 50000 ~ 100000
t7 90000+
t8 idk
Anecdotal evidence suggest that there's a loot table that is based on:
1. The tier of the zone.
2. Tier 3 zones have a T3 loot table. This does not mean you can't get higher tier items.
3. Some random dungeons have a point one modifier that is undefined (T3.1, T3.2, etc) that increases the loot table slightly.
4. Dungeon maps slightly enhance the loot table and creates a dungeon with the selected Tier listed above, but it's more challenging.
If you subjugate yourself to risk being in a red or black zone the loot table will increase. If you enter a random tier 7 dungeon, it may be 7.0, 7.1, 7.2, 7.3 and now 7.4 according to the Anecdotal evidence along with my own conducted testing says it falls along these lines.
This doesn't mean it'll be massive, but it does increase the variable of how much loot you'll get. So if you entered a 7.2 dungeon with a purple chest, I'm sure you'll get solid loot, all things considered.
T7 and T8 areas give great loot and combat fame over time, but there's a risk to losing your gear and the items you gained which can deter people from trying it.
Personally, after obtaining enough assets and can craft items, losing gear at a certain point isn't much of a drawback unless you're walking in 8.x gear all the time which can take a toll on your silver balance.
Other than that, T5 zones are consistent and have less variance while higher tier zones will increase your loot table, give higher combat fame and silver drops. There's also higher tier resources to gather on top of that, which may be 6.1, 6.2 like a dungeon could be also.
The task you find fun isn't a waste of time IMO. If solo dungeons in a yellow zone work for you, then do it. If you like hunter corrupted dungeons, do that. You don't have to make this game about min-maxing silver/loot gains.
I was concerned that the skill gain exp drop off would be so dramatic that you had to go into the BZ to continue improving your character.
Thats the luckiest t5 solo dungeon ever ! as even with golden chests and premium loot is 30-50 k !
Dungeons also have a soft cap that after maybe 1-2 mill earned in them (t6-7 ones faction flagged) or less they just spam you with green chests or nothing !.. maybe they get depleated like resource nodes or ppl in carleon havent filled the black marketplace i never figured that one out !
