best way to farm gathering stats? :D

Like is there a way to level these things up without actually doing them?
Tedious as hell. Tomes are expensive.
Is it easyer to make silver and buy tomes or actually od the grind?
Or just what is the best way to level up.

I think purpose is a big part of what makes games fun. I tried Albion a while back and wasn't a fan cuz I didn't really understand why I was doing all the tedious stuff. Playing it this time around has been more satisfying with the understanding in mind that all my grinding is contributing to a big PvP battle that I can participate in or not. I like knowing that's going on in the background, justifying all the grinding/crafting to fuel the war effort.
