Can't even login
So, I have decided to return after X amount of time while I am recovering from surgery, thought this would be something to take my mind off other things while I am currently off work.

Installed, try to login, tells me I need "a security code". Well, ok sure, go check my email, nothing. Ok, go do the password reset using my email, tells me I need to know my characters name. Well I am sorry, why would I remember a charcter name from X amount of time ago. So, it sends me some username recovery email (remember that it doesn't seem to acknowledge my email in the security code) and it gives me like 3 letters and 8 asterix. well. ♥♥♥♥, I don't know what it was. It's 100% not something I would normally use.

What kind of system is this. I mean, I wouldn't have used any other email, that's a 100% guarantee and I don't have the code. It won't let me reset it and even if it did, how's it not linked to my steam auth anyway. I don't use other emails for actual accounts. The only other one I have is linked to my main and that's for anything I don't care to read about or get updates on.

This system is really messy. AFAIK the last time I played was with the standalone client, not through Steam, so what account it's trying to get it's auth from, I have no clue.

Hello,

If you originally registered your game account via Steam, the email associated with your account is the same email connected to your Steam account. However, if you've changed your Steam email after registration, things might become a little complex.

Please note, if you registered your account on the website, and not through Steam, you won't be able to use that account with Steam, they are incompatible.

Here are a couple of suggestions to help resolve the issue:

1. Check the email associated with your Steam account for the confirmation code.
2. If the above step doesn't yield a solution, please reach out to our support team via email at support@albiononline.com, ensuring you contact them from the email associated with your Steam account (if you've changed Steam e-mail, please still use the old e-mail).

Our support team will be glad to assist you further.

Already tried. You guys ignored me and I felt compelled to uninstall. Thought it might be fun to come back to a game I invested some money and time into but, guess you guys don't want people to return. Thank you for answering but it's all a little too late now. I sent two emails to your CSR team but received nothing back, so probably just ignored.
