If you dont have all this staff you chance to win is 0%
Honestly, this game is pay to lose. I would say 95% of everything is obtainable without ever spending a cent with the 5% being non-tradables.
I'm a gatherer/crafter so I will speak with that perspective here:
Expect to die in this game when you go past tier 5 which emphasizes the previous point - this game is pay to lose. Everything is Legos/Play-doh, you can just craft the gear in mass at a certain point so in the event that you do die, you just re-equip and try again.
Expect to die in red and black zones.
That's why I like this game past tier 5 because it puts you on a bit of an edge as a gatherer/crafter and you are rewarded if you can come back due to the prices of higher tiered resources and also what you can craft. It's really no different than trying to clear dungeons in these zones. As you get gathering fame up, you become faster at it which helps get you in and out quickly so not all is lost if you die. Getting that gathering fame for tier 6 resources and beyond is worth it in cost also. They print combat fame out the wazoo, so nothing to worry about in that department.
Other than that, remember it is a free to play, pay to lose. It's very grindy, but once you're established and have an economy going everything else opens up to you without ever spending a penny.
2) Sell your Gold for Silver.
3) Buy Skill tomes on the market with Silver.
4) Use skill tomes to skill up...
This game has always been P2W in the absolute worst possible way... -.-
Disagree, fame only gets you so far when youre bad at the game. a few people in 4.1 can beat a noob in 8.3 without much trouble.
Paying to save time on grinding out spec and stocking up on sets isn't really pay to win, its just... paying to save time.
And if you do know what you're doing in the game, getting a solid source of income isnt very hard. bring gathering tools with you when you go out, learn how to gank, get into crafting, play the market. Making silver in albion isn't as hard as it might seem. its just usually time consuming
Man, if you feel that way, you really need to get gud. People who buy silver in-game is how f2p players survive and thrive. They eat the rich around these parts.
Until you Realize most of that stuff to craft it is in the black zone so you will be meeting that guy there that just bought all your stuff.. soon...
