For the group expeditions, you can queue together but it will put you in a party of 5 total players (with other randomly selected people, making sure to have one tank, one healer, and 3 dps).
Do you know of anything in particular that would be for a duo/trio to tackle? We will probably do some group stuff once we have a more firm understanding of the game, but for right now were still figuring out what is good/bad, and I dont want to hold down a bunch of others while we piddle around figuring out basics.
Find a very low population area and just do the area dungeon rather than expeditions.
There is no 'private' expedition unfortunately.
Farm wildlife till you hit T3 gear, and make sure your non-dps is side-speccing into holy staff.
The most effective farm ive ever done with a duo was farming cougars and Emu in the highlands by a lake.
While i fished, they drew aggro and brought them to me so i could cleave them (sword attack ability option). Within an hour we had 2000 T3 hide and were up two reaver levels.
