Albion Online
Way too laggy
The game lag's a lot everywhere but in main cities its 10x worse and that is terrible, Having only 1 server really is hurting the game. The 3 day premium is more of a tutorial, quite a few features say at least 7 days is required but that is just a small gripe. The lag is a an issue, not a gripe.

So there is a chance my issues could be a breaking HDD, it just started making a clicking noise and that is a sign that its dying, usually starts dying before that. I plan to get a new one soon. I really hope it was the issue. The clicking literately started as I was writing the last message.

So my sister had a spare external HDD and I put albion on that and ran it, loads a lot faster but the lag is still there, I did look at the ms and ping this time, ping stays around 40 but ms shot up to 394 for awhile, it likes to sit at 16 when the spikes are not happening

like is it fps lag or latency lag?
the lag is more of just an annoyance, but it seems to be both, my latency goes into the red and my ping goes from 100 to about 20 and it continuously stutters for awhile then it goes back to normal for a few minutes although in cities it does it until I leave the city, makes it hard to drop stuff off. the crashes are the main issue i have. i know i said in the first message lag was the issue but i think they are connected, before the crash it drops to 3 fps and the ping is.. I don't know the number is quite high (it likes to go crazy so i cant say 1 number). Usually right after entering a new zone or dungeon, so I guess after a load screen in this case but not all the time, i would say it happens 1 in every 10 loads.
i never experience these issues although my ping is around 150 most days
This seems to be a pc issue and you should check all your drivers as well as your internet cables

I do not believe it is an internet issue, I play wow quite often and have no connection issues or lag (i lag slightly when I first enter a a main city but that leaves after about 20 seconds)

Its laggy and crashes a lot that is the complaint. even with a pc over the recommended requirements.

Latency between your computer and the game server depends on the nature of your connection. If you live far from the server then your ping will be high. If your ISP is bad or you have a cheap connection plan then it will be even worse. If you're paying for good internet, you could try contacting your ISP and asking them to see what they can do to improve your connection to the game's server.

That being said I think the fact the game crashes often is a legitimate complaint, you can lose all your stuff that you gathered and lose hours of progression because of a crash

In my experience the game is quite stable so you might like to run your specs by the technical support forum to see whether the problem is your machine. While you can lose gear if you get killed because of a crash, you cannot lose progression.

Your ping and your ms, as displayed by the client, are not related. If your ping is 40 then you have a massive advantage over the average player. Many of us have to deal with pings between 200 and 300. The ms isn't a network measurement, it's a measurement of how long it takes to render and display a frame.

So I decided to look at the official forums to see if anyone else was having issues, ya there are a lot of people who are having the exact same issue with better ping and better rigs, quite a few people.

As most users have mentioned here, the ping issue is mostly due to the player's distance from the game's megaservers which is located in the East Coast of the US.

You mentioned that you installed the game on a HDD, it's highly recommended you install it on an SSD instead which has faster read/write times. This is to eliminate most of the lag inside cities when there's around 400+ players moving around. It will also significantly decrease the load time when zoning into different zones.

Well, it was not an internet issue, it was not an hdd issue. I found what the issue was, yalls recommended settings are not right imo. As soon as I added a bit more ram i have 0 issues now. I can walk in any main city with 0 spikes or drops. I had 8 gb's of ddr4, that was not enough. (8 is the recommended)
that isn't real reason. if there was EU server they could get more money and players. same goes for asain.

Going to assume you did not read the discussion, I upgraded ram and have no lag now. Also some of the parts in my pc were not released in 2012, Gpu - 2016, Cpu - 2020. Might want to do even the smallest bit of research to avoid looking like you have no idea what you are talking about. I mean DDR4 in general was not released until 2014, 2 years after your nonfactual statement.
