100% carrying capacity is (last I saw) is 50% of your max load. I am at work, so I cant provide my own numbers on this.
EDIT - I mention my own numbers for proof as your numbers still do not add up properly. My assumption would be you are missing something somewhere, but /shrug
Something is most def not right with the mechanics of weight in the game, it's affecting more than people realize all this time.

This is the part that I disagree with. Its more likely that one person is missing something more than everyone not realizing something.
Just yesterday I made a run to Seedscatter at 93% weight, didnt know why. Just kept going thinking my journals were heavier than I though (I took a LOT with me for storage). Only to realize when I got there I had 600 hides lower in my inventory.
