Playing for free?

I know you "can" play for free, but I see comments that "80% of the game is Premium restricted". Is this true? Or can you actually play the whole game, and eve get 100% Steam achievements, all for free?

I'm a 100% f2p player, I have 1k hours on the game and was playing in early 2020 when it was significantly harder to make silver as a solo player, yet here I am still playing it. So to answer your question, yes, it is 100% f2p, and also yes, to progress faster (a LOT faster) in the game you need premium, it takes about 2 months of farming as a solo player to earn enough for premium (if you're a noob and take your time figuring things out). If you join a big and good guild you'll have premium within a month at most.

100% f2p. Find some friends and start ganking in the black zone you can get enough silver to buy premium in a few days and premium is super worth to progress at a much better rate. or like others have said farm farm farm and you'll eventually get enough.

You can play 100% free, all perks you can get from IRL money is attainable with ingame silver. It´ll take some time, but that´s all.

Free is easy. Just learn economy. Something you need to do on your own, people won't share their individual methods (Because more people = less profit).

The game needs the followings:
- Extreme TIME investment (you cannot get it back)
- Significant financial investment (you can get it back via working in real life to fund a virtual character)

Your choice. What is more important? Your wealth? Your valuable real time? Or nothing?

They've designed everything in the whole game around forcing you to buy premium. If you don't, your progress is severely hamstring'd and you are penalized in many ways.

The only way I see free to play working is if you've already maxxed your armors & weps and just pvp,

if you're trying to grind up a character without premium it's going to take at least 2x as long and it's already a long grind WITH premium considering you need to level up many many different armors and weps to be more effective overall. I don't think new players realize you need to basically level everything you can wear.

If you want premium just buy it, don't waste your time grinding a month for it. If you choose to grind the silver for premium then once you get it you'll just spend the next month slaving for the next months premium before it expires.

You can farm enough silver to buy premium, and once you have premium it's not hard to maintain

T4.1 and gank or pvp and you can afford premium easily

there are no area restrictions in this game at all.. you can move anywhere and do whatever you want except farming for which you only need premium once... and farming isnt even relevant to the game at all..

Its Not Premium Just gives you a Huge Bonus to everything you do exp wise which is Pretty nice but you can still do everything.
