I don't thinks so but idk im not an expert.
You can buy premium so that u can farm and gather resources faster but u should look at it as premium=normal game, no-premium=free trial. But tbh u dont have to buy premium to enjoy the game. 1st time i played albion i bought premium for a month and now i came back, made new character and play it w/o premium to see if i get bored, if i stay with the game i'll consider buying premium. You can also buy gold for real money and then sell it for silver but tbh i dont think it matters at all.. maybe at larger scale when it comes to guilds but idk. Oh and about premium, u can buy it without spending real cash. U can buy premium for gold which u can buy with silver which u can make by killing mobs or selling stuff.
In conclusion i dont think this game is p2w.

It is to a degree but it's not very noticable in game. There's also a cap of 500 gold exchanged per day, which is about $5. From that you get 1.5 Million silver, which for me, a 2 week old player is 4-6 hrs of grinding to earn.

Also even if you buy 10billion gold and the best gear in the game, you still have to farm the exp/fame to use it.

It's pay to win but you can make money easily. You can spend real money to get in game money directly.
Hemperbud 18 Thg02, 2021 @ 7:10pm
it isn't pay to win just because its a freemium game. The ignorance here is high. How do you expect them to make money lmao

Any 'freemium' game is pay to win if it helps progress your character in anyway above the non paying user. If you weren't a player from the start of the game's launch, you're at a severe disadvantage, especially starting this game now. Veterans can run in 4.x trash and still blow you up easily while you have to risk higher tier gear to even be able to fight them. Let's not talk about said veterans using higher tier gear being near invincible unless you have your trees leveled up as well.

TL;DR Pay to catch up and become the PKer, or grind for a year+ and roam with a full gank squad for pvp till your combat masteries are all at least 50s.

nobody has made that assumption. What people have said is that you can 1. Buy in game currency with real money. and 2. that currency can be used to buy gear in game. That is inherently "p2w" no matter how you look at it.

But if you read my previous comment, you'd know it's not a big deal, nor does paying really bring you much of an advantage when it comes to the endgame, where peoples gear sets cost more than the daily gold exchange limit.

p2w doesn't mean bad, or not fun, it just means you can pay real money for an in game advantage. In this case, it's money, which can buy you extra gear sets or tomes of insight, etc.

This game has very little pay to win. You get a few benefits from buying the membership (+50% exp, easier learning points, etc), but you still have to play the game hard to leverage these things. In theory you could cash-pump your way up by buying gold with IRL money, changing it to silver, then buying learning tomes (gives you some exp for gear you are wearing) BUT you still wont be able to stand up against someone who is a few tiers below you but knows the game.

I made about 300 million silver in 4 months. Enough money to pay for years of premium and gear.
Just play the game smart and you will catch up super easily.
Sweets 20 Thg02, 2021 @ 9:28am
Depends on what you considering pay to win?
If you mean like premium weapons and armors ? No
Special skills and abilities? No
Better gathering yelds for pve player? Yes but it's not really that special if you eat a pork pie and wear gathering armor you get the same effect
Really only benefit is island and monthly challenge which is mostly just a fun pass time and not really a boost
