You can buy in-game currency for irl money. That's the most blatant P2W there can be and is no different from RMT. Anyone saying otherwise is just being defensive about their game of choice making up weird excuses.
"Pay to progress" is just corporate propaganda which people seemingly accepted over the years. A decade or two ago you would be laughed at and rightly called out for using this term. But in the era of pre-orders, day one dlcs, always online singleplayer games and in general overt monetization (see battle passes), the p2w has been accepted as normal. Now you are just entitled if you expect any standards at all.
If you enjoy the game, cool. But don't distort the truth. That's really all there needs to be said.

Then we have alot p2w Games in the days:

World of Warcraft and Guild Wars 2 too
You should play all this Games some hours to know why they do this.
Whats the different of buying at all the Bot Sites or buying at the Developer? Maybe Minimizing bots and better knowledge of the economy?

It doesnt matter HOW you can buy gold/Silver, the guys will buy anyway

Since you beat someone who swiped their card, you buy all the spects of the weapon and also buy an 8.4 masterwork weapon, you fully awaken it with all the extra skill ranks.

Don't get me wrong, thanks to those hours of enjoying the game I have the economy to be able to play more or less decent pvp.

But it is becoming more and more common that I have to run because a player is stalking me who bought everything and only has maybe 100 hours of play.

You could say that little by little the game is becoming less enjoyable.

Players in albion can use real money to buy gold and turn it into silver, the main currency in the game and can use this to purchase anything for gear to XP.

Yes. You can buy silver for real money. Everything in the game can be bought for silver. You can buy anything in the game with real money. Anyone saying that's not pay to win in an MMO is a delusional idiot.

That being said, it's still fun without paying real money.

Lol so many people in denial or coping. this game has good ideas but is completely p2w. if you don't buy premium ( pay) you are at huge disadvantage in every activity, meaning that:
-you make much less silver ( for example gathering, for which you get additional resources gathered, because apparently wood , rocks fibers etc appear out of thin air if you are a shopper. not to mention crafting with the whole focus mechanic. lol even drop rate is influnced by your premium status
- you gain less fame, you exp for the weapon and armor you are using

combining both point 1 and 2 you will get an idea that by both being behind in silver ( buying weapon and armor) and fame ( giving power to your equipped gear) you will not compete to other players that have premium. yes if you are more skilled ( how as new player?) you will can kill spending players at equal gear level but then they will laugh because they have millions or billions in silver to replace even tier 8 equip and you have few thousands which you got by by farming 24/24 without premium.

this is even without considering they actually have RMT in form of gold ( and so silver) being purchasable by real money.

After I was reading alot about the Game because I like the Content...

For me it's pay 2 win and I will not start with this Game.
You can buy everything for real money.

And the fans say: No, you need Skill.

Why I need Skill? If I need help in Zones -> Join a Guild or pay someone for help.
But.. there is not even a reason for this.

Because If I die I buy some Silver and buy new Equip. lol

Yes, it's pay2win (or maybe pay2progress much faster including skills cos aside from cosmetics I don't think there is a single thing that you can buy for money that you can't compensate by time and grind), but lets call it Pay2Win. I don't see the problem anyway. It's a free2play game and I know what I get into, no one makes a secret out of this fact. It's still a fun game and with some gold a month I can even speed up my progress. I actually used it to get the mount of last months Adventurer's Challenge. Normally no chance as less than 2 days old newb to get 1.8 million silver.

If this isn't for you, well, guess that's also fine, there are enough games out there. Play what brings you the most fun and let others play what they enjoy, it actually IS this easy!

yes of course yes ! if you use your credit card, you can have a 8.4 easily and kill all other player, because most players are in 5.2 or 5.3.
This game or do you RMT directly with the studio !

I spent a lot of money on the game, only to realize in the end that I was beating everyone and that there was little point in it, because most of them play on mobile, so that's to say players with very little experience. And to think that there are streamers who brag about never dying in this game... Easy! I never died either, even though I always farmed in Mist lethal and BZ...

Any 'freemium' game is pay to win if it helps progress your character in anyway above the non paying user. If you weren't a player from the start of the game's launch, you're at a severe disadvantage, especially starting this game now. Veterans can run in 4.x trash and still blow you up easily while you have to risk higher tier gear to even be able to fight them. Let's not talk about said veterans using higher tier gear being near invincible unless you have your trees leveled up as well.

TL;DR Pay to catch up and become the PKer, or grind for a year+ and roam with a full gank squad for pvp till your combat masteries are all at least 50s.

Having combat mastery at 50s is very easy and could take you from a few days or even one single day to a few weeks depending of time invested. Not years.
