bad fps on good pc

i just quit eso, bdo and ff14 because i wanna try a more chill mmorpg and albion seemed like it i downloaded the game played it for a few hours and damnn the lag and frame drops is insane
gpu : 1660 ti
cpu : ryzen 5 3600
ram : 16gb 3200mhz

and im curious if most players have bad frame drops

If I remember right, if you're experiencing a large amount of lag and frame rate drops then the suggestion was to make sure you have Albion Online installed on an SSD if you have one. I think it may also depend on where you are in the world as it's my understanding that the mega-server is in North America.

As a side note, you mentioned you were looking for a chill mmo. I really like Albion Online but I wouldn't really consider a full loot free-for-all mmo very chill. The idea of losing all the ♥♥♥♥ I'm carrying to a gank squad stresses me out when I'm roaming the world lol but that's just my opinion. If that's not a deal breaker, then welcome to Albion :)

tbh i want an mmo that somewhat like tibia but more freedom i suppose and albion have that

trust me - this game runs extremely badly on HDD

with your specs and game installed on SSD you should be getting great performance in game

your specs are not by far a good pc thats the first point, the game is by far not a chill game bro, keep moving on i guess, and at the last part u need it to be installed on an SSD or better.

I'm having this same issue.
Proc - i5-11400
RAM - 32 GB
GPU - RTX 3060Ti

I am assuming at this point that the issue is storage related.
