Lowest focus cost to nurture crops?

Just just how low does this cost go and is the final lowest cost dependent upon the tier of the crop?

e.g. My cost to nurture a plot of carrots has already dropped to 660 from the starting 1000, but a plot of beans is stillmore although it has decreased a lot also.

Tier of the crop doesn't matter, each crop has speciffic node on destiny board, that's what gives you biggest cost reduction, you farmed more carrots, so you have higher level there, hence lower cost.

farming node provides reduction and the specific crop provides another reduction. for 100 farming and 0 levels of crop the cost is 500 focus points. for 100 + 100 levels it is as low as 125 focus points.
watering 5 of 9 fields it is enough to let you run 3 tier 5 islands and not running out of seeds

Thanks a lot! That's the kind of info I wanted. My island is currently T5 and I'm trying to plan when to phase in herbs and higher tier animals. Main crop off course is carrots and some beans so as they get cheaper to grow, I can add more variety.

focus on one crop. anyone. the costs are the same it is the magic of the seed % chance and price difference that makes them equal in yield costs.

also animals return rate is worse then crops or herbs

Yeah, I've already figured that carrots are the way to go, but I'm adding in other veggies and critters for specialized meals for the buildings. So far on the 13 building lots I have 3 houses (2 for workers and 1 for storage chests) and 10 shops. With a very little trouble I now can feed 4 of them 'Preferred' meals and soon will have 5. The extra crafting capacity seems to compensate to me,
