Repairing seemed bad at first, but once I started getting money, it wasnt bad.
But for one dungeon where you will gain only 4k its too much.
When you play tank you need to be rich. Long range dps gain the same reward but paie less in repair.
edit: if youre struggling on cash, maybe start farming and refining resources?
i use t6 full enchanted gear in random t6 dungeon.
but yeah if you dont play tank its fine, my friend play on ranger with crossbow and he pay something like 8-9k after each dungeon.
Check the item value for your equipment as this determines your repair costs at 10% on each knockdown. Do some math. If you are not comfortable with your findings then do not go out in that gear. Downscale to using lower gear till you know the payoff outweighs the pairs & risk of loss.
Your friend is likely to be equipped in 4.2 or 5.1 gear & died less than you did. Yes you take more hits/damage. Thats the role you chose. But Iron (Tank Gear) is not inherently more costly to repair than Cloth or Leather.
Also, it is a courtesy of decent folk not to pick up the Silver that drops at the feet of a downed teammate as this is produced from your item value = to 10% which should cover your Repair Costs.

Since you are a Tank i wanted to ask, Are you using any consumables?
I ask because i have been in a number of RD & found that the Tank has no consumables equipped at all. No HP or Regen buff, not even cheap t2 potion to help himself in a pinch. Nothing.
Now you can have the greatest Healer that Albion has to offer on your team But please go some length to help yourself & them with some basic prep.
Now im not pointing directly at you with this but if you are one of these guys then I hope that the large repair bill pushes you to learn something before you lose too much valuable gear.
Thanks awesome reply, and yess I use T2 food for now but I train my cooking because I want the max heal and 8% more healing receved food buff.
