Best place to farm leather?

If anybody has access to a guide for resources and where the best place is to farm them, I would appreciate it!

Just started and wanting to get my gather/crafter going.

"Best" is a very subjective statement with almost everything in Albion.

Best for me would be going to Charhide and getting T6+. Competition is high, and enemies are everywhere, but I need T7/T8 hides.

Best for you might be a safe blue zone at a hide den.

Overall, if youre asking what zone type, then steppes - hides are the most abundant resource there.

If you elaborate more on what specifically you are looking for, I can offer better suggestions. Though still a lot comes down to time, skill, tier, and a bunch of other factors.

Where to start and then where to progress after that.

For example T1-T3 do steppes then T-4-T7 go here etc

You might do well going to steelhide meadow. There is a hide den there with Tier 2-4. A lot of people though, so competition will be high, but so are respawns.

Once you are able to get T5 leather, I would start working toward black zones. This includes getting a guild with an alliance that owns territories. this isnt required, but if you are caught in a black zone without being in the alliance, your going to get shanked a lot. Now, even if you are in the alliance, there still can be hostile gankers. Thats just part of the game. Go in expecting to die many times. Get into that mindset, and things get a bit easier. IE - I go out, harvest a bit, bank it, go out, harvest, bank. I never over encumber myself.

Well considering the placement of resource nodes change slightly every server cycle, this is gonna be a hard question to answer.
